Great car. If you only need to go 140 MPH and not 200 MPH just pick up a base model R8. That extra horsepower is only for top speed runs.

2Bennett motorsports in Sacramento sells restored old Audi Quattro cars like the ones pictured for about $130k, if you’re a true fan. For my money I’d buy a newer R8.

The one to get is the 2013 Bentley GT V8, which uses the Audi twin turbo motor from the S6 and RS7. You get the British interior craftsmanship with the reliability of the Audi motor. They’re still about $130k at today’s prices.

Waiting for a truther to post about the chemtrails in this gif. WAKE UP.

If the engine was in the bed this wouldn’t be such a bad fail.

The 2013+ Boxster efficiency with PDK is no joke. You can still rev to 8000 RPM, leave it in manual/sport mode, hold gears longer than you should, and get mileage like this on a road trip. When you fill up it has a 500 mile range.

I really don’t see it that way. I think an eBay titanium exhaust for $1000 isn’t real titanium. There’s 38 grades of titanium alloy. If you get a cheap one they may substitute lead for palladium. It’ll discolor. It won’t heat cycle properly and can come apart. It may rust.

Let’s face it - no exhaust can fix the M4 sound.

The DINAN stuff is CARB legal. That’s sort of important if you want to legally operate and one day sell your car in California. You simply won’t pass the smog inspection, failing for visual reasons. DINAN is the parts cost, plus the QA cost, plus the certification cost. If you can’t afford it why are you buying an

Uh huh. Advertised horsepower doesn’t change the actuarial outcome of casualties and losses for the car. Other stories I’ve heard on the Internet is they underrate it to sell more expensive cars, or to get the competition to release a slower car, or to make for interesting discussion on forums. Unfortunately the F80

I don’t think you’re an expert on the unit economics of exotic exhausts for German sports sedans. Corvette parts can be cheaper because there are 1.5 million Corvettes on the road.

Brown flag.

Biggest myth in tuning. Lots of dyno shops read high because it makes everyone feel good. You can find one that is calibrated to read real world numbers. Implying that BMW doesn’t know how to dyno an engine is pretty silly. A margin of error of 5% for atmospheric conditions and fuel is fine.

The M4 makes the power it does so you can consistently get that output level from 30 minutes of track time. The M4 GTS is going to use meth to get around this, which is an extreme measure for a street car.

Titanium exhausts are over $6000.

It’s not underrated at all. It makes 355 WHP on a proper Mustang dyno, on California 91 octane. Saw it with my own eyes. That implies 420 HP or so.

KW V3 is a much worse shock than what comes on a new M4.

Minimal power bump? How is 25% more power minimal? Is the problem that your 200 MPH runs really start to suck at 170 MPH when the car only has 525HP? I was curious if you had that problem a lot.

Maybe that only happened because the floor is coated in slippery ultra gloss paint?
