I was tempted by this generation of RL, if only because my 94 Integra had been the best car I ever owned. Still, it seemed about 300lbs overweight, and being a transverse engine design, didn’t have that elegant dash-to-axle ratio that I love. It’s main point of differentiation was the Super Handling AWD, but in 99.9%

As Ferrari-esque as anything else from Japan. You paid the price in rear-seat utility, though. I rode in the back of one once.

The Bangle Mangle.

You’ll need 42 hours to clean all the brake dust out of those wheels.

I want one of these so badly it aches.

What is your problem with the GS design? I don’t get the universal hate for this car.

YES! Thanks for the GS love. I have a 2006 GS 300 AWD. Slowest one they made for this gen, and I’d have to pay someone to take it off my hands at this point. But this 3rd gen GS was so unloved. I dare anyone to tell me that the contemporary BMW 5 series or MB E class or Audi A6 was a better car. If you have a 10 year

Something about Grand Ams from this era just make me thing “Zima Drinker”.

Remember thin roof pillars? The first gen Legend Coupe was a prime example. I’d like the NHSTA to conduct an “obstructed visibility” study that compares the cause of accidents in cars with thin roof pillars vs. the rolling tanks with 25 airbags that we are forced into today. Outward visibility is the most important

100%. Almost bought one. Perfect dash-to-axle ratio, especially for a fwd. But that was due to the unusual longitudinal layout of the V6. I miss this automotive era, wish I could find a clean, low-mileage 2nd gen Legend coupe.

3rd Generation Lexus GS 2006-2011. Lambasted or ignored by the buff books, I think that design belongs in the top 5 mid-sized luxury sedans of the past 30 years. Clean, elegant, understated. The fact that I still have my 12 year old lame-duck GS 300 awd with 100K+ did not influence my opinion in any way.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind having an old Q45, but not one that's been abused like that. I fear most of them have been beaten like a rented mule after 25 years.

Please tell me that's Photoshopped.

Irony.

I love how the digital speedo stops at 55. Good old double-nickel.

Given that it's just a box on wheels, you might as well make the original toaster Scion xB out of wood, right?
