I'd rather see Sandman as a TV series with an HBO level budget if anything. I don't expect movies like 'Avengers' or 'Justice League' to be deep or complicated, they are fine as fun action and eye candy. I would prefer any Sandman to not be dumbed down and made less adult to appeal to mass audiences.

I'm just going to refer back to a Charlie Jane Andrews piece from a few years ago:

I enjoy some prequels. I loved X-Men: First Class, and thought it was better than the original trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed Monsters University, while accepting that it wasn't as good as the original. I thought Caprica, once it got going, was fantastic.

There's a basic rule of storytelling: start as close to the end as you can. While it's not a hard-and-fast rule, for some mediums it's a good idea (film especially). Prequels violate that rule. Another look at it- a film is about getting to the good stuff, which means coming to a climax. If the first film stands

Prequels have problems because certain story elements are sometimes best left to the imagination. Rarely can a storyteller come up with a satisfying origin to, let's say, the Xenomorph — that monster is so rooted to our primal fears that no explanation can match the terror we feel towards the creature. And I'm not

I'm not a fan of stalking. I'm also not a fan of people who write one-star reviews simply to make lives miserable for others. Lives and businesses can be ruined by people like this, posting utter falsehoods to a multitude of websites. Restauranteurs are fighting an endless battle with Yelp!, for example, to get

Loved the episode. Even if it did feature one of my many pet peeves . . . upon which I shall now expound for your displeasure. Why is it that a mask alone is always enough to fool everybody? I get how changing your face can fool people at a glance, or who may not know you well, or who only have an ID to work with.

Stark's screw up with Ultron is going to threaten the entire world and this time the Avengers don't have SHIELD to cover for them.

Now playing

I dunno, I expect a little more out a performance I guess. I toured bars and clubs for 5 years wherein you had to win over a crowd night after night. Some night I succeeded, some nights not so much. All the jazz performances I've seen from that era had a little more going on: the torch singer thing is supposed to

I liked how it started. Had an RTD vibe with the costumes, the train, the singer, everything. Then it all went away. I like Capaldi, but I don't enjoy his Doctor. There's no joy to him. He ranges from jerk, to callous, to angry, to childish. He's not fun anymore. 2000 years old, 13 regenerations, and we have the first

I was writhing, I mean like itching, something fierce when I watched that. And what was that sound, like chewing loudly like a kid eating a tasty snickers??? WTF.

I so totally wish I could do a voice over.

BRO! NO! DON'T EAT ME! NOOOOooooooooo *chomp*

I'd be okay with this if they changed the name to "The Barking Dead".

A major reason why we can't see Gravitons is the same reason we can't see individual electrons or unusually miniscule spiders.

They are very very small.

I know what you're thinking. How could they be so small? After all, the freckles on the south-Irish girl who works at the Credit Union are small and you can make them

Everyone dies. Sabrina becomes the Bride of Cthulhu. I know it sounds funny and probably was hysterical in the pitch the execution of the book was a dark as hell.

Marmaduke Nukem.

This is not impressive, he just did it 100000 times and he only posted the one video where he didn't fall and die.

I hope he does a better job than has been done with the latest iteration of doctor who - I hate to say it, but in my opinion it has descended into kiddy widdy tv garbage.

Keep this guy the hell away from it:

Two things here, and number two is important:

I liked the image of the Moon Dragon being born then flying off, but taken literately the idea that the moon is a giant egg that can shatter without it causing any more destruction on Earth (other than what's already been caused by the moon's mass/gravity inexplicably increasing & probably messing with both the tides
