I test drove Toyota and Honda hybrids last year and the Hondas definitely had sportier responsiveness in acceleration and lane changing. I was going to purchase an Integra in the next year or so for myself, but the Civic Hybrid will definitely get a test drive from me.

Thank you for this. You made my groggy brain smile.

I tried looking up these results myself, and found most sales at auctions have been automatics. I can’t get BAT to show anything except articles from nine years ago. Strange. Hagerty is also surprisingly disappointing.

Sometimes Rob has an off day and misses the obvious. That’s why we have people like you to correct these off days.

I agree. This is peak T-Bird in my opinion. It has the mechanical headaches of a BMW 6-series from that era, but it has cache for those who lived through this era. This is an excellent example.

The E-Bird!

My new, retro WWE pseudonym is now Sid Viscous.

And what is with that shifter?!?

I hate 80's GM products, and even I’d go for this one!

My take was similar to yours, including the NP. In addition, I was just comparing it to the Mustang GT convertibles of the time, and this has aged so much better! I used-to prefer the 2-tone paint jobs with the red-orange molding in the middle, but this is so much cleaner.

I always DETESTED the ‘luggage rack spoiler’ things that were slapped on the 80's sports cars! This is a clean, raked convertible that appeals to me. I think if you want a late 80's Mustang convertible, this is a good way to go!

We see a number of these diesel Mercs on here, and although I am far from being a fan of diesels, this one looks pretty well spec’d and in REALLY good shape. An uncommon NP to a diesel.

I see that, but these toys are only mildly comparable. The Panoz looks more like a finished car vs the Lotus7 kit car look. Also, that listing is from 2020. That was forever ago as far as prices go!

My medical insurance contacts me several times a year to ask if chiropractic treatment for a back injury they have been covering for 25 years might be due to a recent car accident or work incident. To make it worse, their website is a shit show, so it’s hard for me to simply contact them and say “no”. I’ll just snail

I’m right there with you! I saw an 80's generic GM sedan at first glance and thought “$7,000 for one of these??!!!” Being a Caddy, and one of the first downsized, but not downsized too far designs, I give it more leeway. Looks like a decent engine as well!

I guess my fondness for the Bently Turbo R has colored my tastes to accept that red. Is this the 2000's equivalent to that car? If I had a car collection and that much fun money with a repair account to match, I would consider taking a look.

You earned my respect with “Personally I still prefer C6 over C7 for looks...”. I love the small-looking footprint of the C6. It looks like it slides through the air.

An interesting point. They don’t really give any good images of the “roll cage” installment. I couldn’t even tell there was any hoop around the passenger side.

That was my first thought as well! But you need a pretty rack to grab attention, I guess.  This thing must be a pain to trailer and store! Pole barn?

Yeah, as a person who is sensitive to loud noises, this doesn’t make any sense to me.
