And yet it somehow doesn’t seem to apply to very rich people or politicians. Strange, that.

Agreed. I can see it in a camper configuration, but it’s not a luxury people hauler, or even a useful utilitarian one. Hauling a trailer in mud or snow? Taking people to a ski slope from remote parking lot? Transportation for a FEMA crew? Why leather interior? Why the bull bar?

Whoa! That’s grim! I’m drawn to the language “supposed wife” and the fact that she seemed to know he exited the aircraft while in flight raises questions. It seems to be a planned suicide. How much did his supposed wife know ahead of time? Was there a note?

Unless I read the article wrong, it’s that the insurance company downgraded his insurance on this vehicle without his permission before the theft and crash. An agent was probably trying to get him a really good rate on the new car they were adding. Who is at fault will be tough to prove, since he probably signed-off

Congratulations, Duke of Kent! I do believe you ‘ get it’. Perhaps even more so with cars, since you need to be in tune with all of the noises and feelings of the car to really know the shifts. It connects you to it in a way.

Yes, but it’s in a cheerful color, instead of the usual monochrome pallet. I had the opposite experience when I saw a car with interesting paint. (Yes, medium blue now counts as “interesting”.)

He should have organized an insurrection of the most powerful nation in the world. The penalties are much lower.

As a business owner submitting the claim, it’s his job to know the law. That said, blatant cheaters have escaped the law after doing much, much worse.

You don’t need 500hp to have fun! A lower-powered car or truck that challenges your driving skills is much more interesting, and usually safer!

I’m on your side, and just wanted to point out that “non-toxic” does not mean it’s not unhealthy. Like you, I say don’t inhale any processed (human made) particulates.

I’ll pass.

Aluminum corrodes pretty easily. Stainless steel? Titanium? Both are heavy.

Even water is fatal if ingested improperly into the lungs!

I’m enjoying her experience learning about basic car maintenance, and thinking I should get my family out into the garage and give them a quick tutorial.

On the freeway, IN THE DARK! If that was a registered vehicle, those fines would have been much higher. I agree that it’s a case of the officers not applying the correct violations for the situation.

You enter into a car dealer as a customer. Your business relationship is that of a consumer approaching a professional. The implication is that the car salesperson will assist you with the “complicated” purchase of an automobile. Car dealers use dozens of shady ways to rope people into these agreements. A customer

In short, if the industry all goes this way AND bans older technology, we’re screwed anyway.

Yeah, but the electronic devices industry sure is doing a decent job of it. If you want Adobe products, it’s subscription or nothing. Want Windows to work on some 10 year old equipment at work? Only Windows 365 is available. Every person in the company needs to log in to their Windows 365 account or Excel won’t

Yeah, I was ready to NP the car, but I definitely ND the ad. Now I’m conflicted. Let’s see how I feel after the coffee.

Survivor bias. That and wanting to show off.
