I agree. I know that even without the air freshener, a car can still stink, but acknowledging it in your ad seems like a warning flag. It’s probably a nice price, but if it stinks in a permanent manner, I’m out.

I really like that Supra rear view, with the ducktail spoiler. Very nice, and not something that will fit other car shapes.
Nothing is blatantly broken. Those wheels alone have got to be worth quite a bit. No red flags, just a lot of brown ones. Still worth a try. Now I’m going to go onto the internet and listen to the sound of Italian V8's.
Oh David! You are a treasure! (Which means someone should bury you for your own safety.)
Okay, finished doing my homework over lunch. It appears that the digital dash is from the stock turbo 300z. So I guess I’d compare this to a stock, turbo Z-car. Aaaaannnd..... Nope. I can’t find a turbo manual from this era. I don’t think the price is awful, but still a bit high. Go negotiate? The dynamat is worth…
I’m feeling a little slow this morning. Does the lack of turbo branding indicate he installed a factory turbo? That might lower my anxiety a little. Then again, that means it’s an 80's turbo unit. (I’m not sure which way I’d want it.)
It looks like a nice build, but I think people are worried about how you’d fix anything that went wrong. There are a lot of non-stock items on this thing.
It sounds bizarre when I first read that, then I remember that a lot of design-swapping was happening in the 80's-90's.
I don’t deny that the problem isn’t easy. I’m just pointing-out that an ounce of prevention is better than trying to undo this mess. Unfortunately, the U.S. business model doesn’t reward people who plan for trouble. Bailouts will save the risk-takers.
Maybe if we actually charged Chinese goods a fair amount for shipping. How do we get free shipping on items from China while something local costs $5-$15 dollars to ship less than 200 miles? The system is obviously broken.
There are enough chassis, it’s just that the truckers own them, and have left for greener pastures while taking their trucks with them.
I’ve seen a number of items go up 40-50% in cost over two years ago. Some of these things are big ticket items like cars. (4 year old Civic Si’s are in the high 20's, when they cost $25K new.) Just like companies downsized our products in the grocery store with no intent on changing that, I don’t see companies…
I vote for a follow-up expose regarding the entire shipping industry. There has to be a reason why shipping something from China to the midwest is cheapest, while shipping from Utah to the midwest is second cheapest, while shipping something a few hundred miles from VA to the midwest is most expensive. (An example I…
This fits the same category as the chip crisis. Companies are NOW willing to buy more chassis, but those chassis aren’t readily available. If they had planned-ahead, then there wouldn’t be a scarcity. In the end, corporate leadership is to blame, yet they will just point fingers and still get paid with bonuses.
You can always buy local.
I’m trying to decide if you are kidding. Not willing to Google this.
My previous reply finally showed-up. Ignore this one.
I’m wondering if it was someone’s extra car at the “next airport” that they commonly visited. Easier than renting every time, and explains why it was kept at an airport. Just taking two people and luggage to the in-laws house or time-share.
The coolant would be all leaked-out by now, anyway. This saves you from lugging around an empty compressor.
To be fair, that was eight months ago, and car prices just continue to go insane. That is definitely a better example, though. As much as I wish cars came in more colors, that white beats the red in my book.
