Yes, but many people are collectors, and this car had a lot of fans. My friend is one of them, although I think he now values safety and family capacity over nostalgia.

My Fords wouldn’t give me that precision, but my most recent one was from over 15 years ago.
Yes, that’s the first thing I missed when moving to power windows. I like to leave my windows 1/4" open if it might rain, but I still want ventillation. Power windows are almost always too coarse for that unless you play the up-down game.
My dishwasher is going on 6.5 months of waiting, with no manufacture date available.
The amount of money spent on that search would have bought a Lambo, dude!
Can you get over the fact that phones fit better in our hands in a vertical format? Most people don’t think about posting videos at the time they are being captured. It’s just the way it is.
In fairness, skaters don’t generally damage public property,
You need to understand a few things about deer:
I think it would get more interest in this forum if advertised as a “Jeep-like vehicle, by Singer”.
They back over curbs and landscaping rocks in the boutique parking lots often-enough. They also handle speed bumps better than my car.
We also know that our voting doesn’t matter if one person decides to buy it at that price. It is a virtual game after all.
Some people buy solid gold toilets. It’s really hard for me to understand why people would buy this car or the toilet. Intellectually I understand it, but realistically I just can’t embrace it.
Glad to hear it worked for you. I was surprised how stressful it was to buy a basic car (new, but on the lot) from a dealer using cash.
I’m guessing I went into the grays ~6 years ago, when a whole group of us suddenly ended-up here (possibly someone backlashed in response to political opinions?) Aside from the good will of the Kinja staff, I have no idea how to get out.
David, your optimism is endearing, if overly optimistic at times.
The problem is that overall height is not the only critical variable. Some people have really long torsos, while others have really long legs. From reading the NPND comments over the years, some taller enthusiasts seem to fit into smaller cars ‘just fine’. I think a younger, motivated enthusiast will make themselves…
I wonder if the buyer had changed their mind, and the car was not in demand, whether the dealer would try to hold them to it.
Too bad we can’t sue dealers for wasting our time. The way I see it, they owe you at least a couple hundred dollars.
It’s in the dealer contract that you can’t actually enjoy your purchasing experience unless you’re significantly overpaying. Your story shows that even before shortages the dealers were pulling this crap.
Yes, the dealers are reporting all-time record profits this year, so you know they are really hurting and need to mark up every vehicle!
