I agree that "Ship of Tears" is perfunctory. It starts off well, and there are many great scenes, especially the one between Delenn and G'Kar. I don't care if Delenn's scene is "literally ridiculous." It works. As a grad student studying screenwriting at the time this episode aired, I learned so much from it. Delenn has one scene and no lines, yet her role fits the story and the back story of the Earth-Minbari role perfectly. I learned economy of writing
