I agree that the Alien part was pretty unnecessary in Asylum. Actually, what's so bad about Murder House? That was pretty coherent, no?
I guess they had to choose between developing the idea that she was the new Butcher vs. foregrounding her devotion to Flora, and the Flora angle was emotionally more powerful, so they picked that one.
'k, so it's not just me! I guess you have to forgive Ryan Murphy/ AHS for this kind of thing, and just enjoy the various elements independently. And I guess everyone agrees that Asylum might be the season least burdened by this problem.
I have one picky plot point question. Maybe someone has a good answer for this. In episode 9, Lee is fed the heart by Shadwack (or whatever her name is), and then it seemed like she became the new protector of the land, and I thought she was given special powers, and perhaps made undead or something like that.
