Nah. The bare minimum for a show reviewer should be that they at least like the show they are reviewing. And this is coming from someone who finds many faults with Homeland. Last season, for example, was an interminable bore all the way through. Plenty of gaffes in S2 and S3.

Yeah, that bugged me. What can we say? Our homegirl is proficient with expedia.com

I haven't even read the review yet. Came here, saw the grade, and thought "Wow, what a miserable prick". AV, please get a new reviewer for next season. Thanks.

I couldn't disagree more with Singles being regarded as just an album of catchy singles with no depth. Love every track and it is certainly not lacking in heart.

I did check. Last night. The profiles are Rick Grimes Superfan, Darryl Dixon's Dames, Tara Alexander (so I guess SOMEONE is intrigued by that character?), and other similar profiles. The fanboys and fangirls of the shows have always been this way; blind to quality. They reacted in a shocked and heartbroken manner when

Thank you for pointing out that terrible Ezekiel dialogue when the Kingdom shows up. Made me cringe.

More importantly, why isnt the AV Club up-to-date with the Baskets reviews?

Only saw Age of Spin so far. As someone who doesn't get offended by much, but can recognize "Oh, that shit is probably offensive to someone", I had that thought multiple times throughout the special. Now I'm seeing people mention him invoking the word "trannies"; I'm guessing that was in the Austin set, because he

Currently teaching WWI to my 7th graders. The article and accompanying photos are a great resource.

Real Time was a great show when it first aired. Along with Daily Show, it was a strong outlet to bash the Bush administration, which wasn't just about criticizing fundamentalist Christians, by the way. Criticism of the Iraq war? On television? You had Jon Stewart and you had Bill Maher. That's it. Now the infotainment

Talking about availability. Do you live in NYC and know the ins-and-outs of the Broadway and theater ticketing sysyem? OK. This is a common practice and it's fleecing.

I was dying to see that Othello production. Super exclusive engagement. I dont know why they bother doing these, aside from stroking each other's egos. Tickets went for hundreds of dollars. Should have went to Broadway. Would have loved to take my class to see it, and they probably would have appreciated it more than

Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter Shot a Guy and Threw a Woman Down the Steps

Decent premiere. I'll hang around, mostly because there is a whole host of comics I like popping up throughout the series. In the premiere alone we got Keith Robinson, Rachel Feinstein, Jay Oakerson, Jeff Ross, Greer Barnes.

Thought the scene with the kids was great.

Went to one of the comedy shows they were were filming for this movie. Deniro just walks around the back of the club while other comedians performed- that was the scene. Hackford explained it as "he's like a ghost haunting the club after his sitcom gets cancelled". It was at the Village Underground (Comedy Cellar's

Dug the premiere of Superior Donuts (gonna review it?). Jermaine Fowler is a solid stand-up and I'm glad to see him get such a high-profile gig, and one that is actually funny. Dan St. Germain writes on it and he's also a great comic.

Expect Chapelle or Rock to be at this, maybe both. Knitting Factory was the place to be back when Hannibal hosted the weekly free show. Now it's run by three underwhelming dudes who are barely working comics. This will be good.

As someone who found Season 5 to be tedious, I thought it was a very promising premiere.

Thought came to my mind as she soon as she entered the room with the lawyer.
