I've been doing this since I got my iphone. It just seemed like the common sense way to do it.

Top Tip: If your google notifier doesnt seem to update frequently. If you click on the mail icon, then hold down command and option keys while clicking on preferences in the drop down box, you will be prompted with a box that has a key and value prompt. Type "AutocheckInterval" under key (this seems to be

Im finding that Google notifier is far from instant. It seems it takes about 5-10 mins for the notifier to realise I have mail. Right now there are two unread test mails in my inbox that have been there for 5mins. The iPhones fetch will pick them up soon!

Bookmarked! Will grab this when I get home.

Just for your information I believe the excellent Nuevasync service is now pushing gmail along with gcalenders and gcontacts.

I nearly did not have to jailbreak, what with calDAV support being brought in. But I love [last.fm] and I like to scrobble my ipod plays. So have to jaibreak to install the native scrobbling app scrobl.

Looks good. I'll check out that Multi-clutch too, that looks just the ticket.

Cool. I'll be trying this tonight on the 3m headphone cable I have for My Sennheiser HD 570s. Its far too long at the best of times.

For years I have used a combination of Musicbrainz Picard (to tag and rename files) and Mediamonkey (to embed album art in the file itself).

@veritas27: I was wondering the same thing. My best guess is that orb actualy requires a fair bit of set-up to stream TV. However sling works out of the box and so would be used by more people. I dunno. Its another wonderful example of the double standards of the app store.

Worio - Oops

nope not appearing on my domain yet.

Well this isn't working for me. Its trying to bring up a login screen but it times out and does nothing. Nice Idea though. I'd like some photos on my iphone so I'll take a look at the other options above.

I have previously used Nuevasync, and liked it. But then I moved to Nemusync from Cydia. I prefer this as I can run it via the command line on the iphone and have it update at any interval I like. Plus it gets the colours of my multiple calendars right.

Its a good start. But it cant select text from SMSs. And when sending SMSs the copy paste bar on the secondary keyboard covers the text entry box so you cant see what you are typing.

Im having trouble with this. Im on my wifi at home but it keeps asking me to join a wifi network.

I've had mixed results.

@TendoMentis: I'm not surprised. I was a beta tester for this app. The boffins at orb asked their users if they would pay for an official orb app (as opposed to a jailbreak one). It was almost unanimous that the users would pay. They even set their own price. All this took place at the official orb forums. Which are

Google first. Then if that fails ask.metafilter.com they have never let me down.
