Strip mining of coal is not very popular anymore, that is why miners tend to get stuck in deep dark holes when coal mines explode.

I think I may be making up for others. I used to drink on average 2 liters a day minimum of carbonated, high fructose laden water with flavorings. I switched to sugar based sodas and now average about 12 cans week. Average, there are some weeks where I drink up to 24 cans a week. On top of it I drink coffee, fruit

Wished it worked for the calendar. Which is located at www.google.com/calendar total bonehead move on their part to not keep things consistant

Agreed. Also recycle the 'waste' material into other energy production methods such as nuke batteries, etc. The expense in building a nuke is all the site research, licensing, payoffs, etc. Plus only built by Unions on union time scales. I like the new Gen 4s

It is going to be a bigger pain in the butt to unencapsulate all the 'spent' fuel rods when they decide to recycle the materials into small batteries. Oh and all that wasted steel.

Yeah all the concrete powder baking, mining of raw materials, clearing tracks of land for wind farms, etc. So VERY zero emission. Most green energy is a farce when the production costs of the infrastructure and manufacturing is taken into account. Nuke and Heliostat based solar being the two best options due to low

I had the hand grenade, a later gas mask, german and gi helmets, replica guns and a black powder cork shooting rifle, not to mention knives, making mud grenades with rocks in them (when dred and thrown at the branch above the person it makes a lot of 'shrapnel'), plus many other home made 'toy' weapons. They taught

A set of heads on the end spray it out his article is messy, and the pic appears to be of the Antelope Valley or similar area of California. I live in the ag zone here and the farmers use a lot of these systems. It has been hot here this week but not Sahara hot.

My first time leaving California I had the experience of a wind whipped tri-trailer hauler. That is scary to pass! The double 40foot trailers is a trip too.

I have never seen the pic of Chebacca and his collection until now. That is important to note because back in 1983-84 my collection included the albums based on the cover art!

Bet you meant 9 axle tractor trailer huh. Hella lot more tires than just 9.

I could see the ropes in the head down shot. Still, I would ot want the hooks to rip out so the rope has to catch me. I am curious, if that did happen would it be repairable through surgery?

Did look lazy, that takes work. But where in the hood did they find an axe? I live rural and my trusty double blade is in the shed.

It is a quarry blast while the quarry is filled with water, right on Youtube in the description

More people follow their Twitter feed than go to the homepage of their website. Plus the website would be a mess of blog comments with all their activity. So for the sake of public informing they use Twitter. Twitter is used by businesses to build contacts and keep clients informed of new products/services. I think

As a fellow Californian I want to point out that if voters had approved the bonds in the mid 80s the first time it came around then the high speed rail system would already be working and at a lower cost. I for one would love to hop the train from here in Lancaster and shoot up to Frisco for dinner!

That must be an iPhone issue. My Droid (original model) maps just fine during a call giving me the information through the blue tooth speaker while I speak to the person. Like listening to two people at once. Using Google Maps as my map software btw.

Just curious... I see one ad at top of right column and the annoying one at top of article. The rest down the side are article links. That 'in article ' one is annoying because it is not part of the story and oddly formatted. Is this the same layout you see?

@SkipErnst: Jet wash from the bomber to the left that is not moving yet

@OneTech: Use a blue tooth gel keyboard. Problem fixed
