@chuck07: Instead do a point to point laser system or directional antennae systems.

@chuck07: Running the ethernet cable on the power lines/pole will 1.Get a lot of interference from said power lines, 2. Be expensive either in fees to the pole owners or legal fees for defense council when they discover it.

@Matthew Urso: Why not, the Greeks are hidden in there already via Hey Zeus! (please no ban hammer Jesus... please.)

@zenpoet: damn small starter hole for a railroad sized spike. (Thats what she said!)

@starbuck13: Making holes in leather to fix straps and the like

@LightingTechie: For purposes of entrapment, yeah weak is better than strong. Come on, use your imagination folks!

@cadenlaguna: Not the same as smelling the air, and looking into your foods eyes. Or for that matter taking care of your food.

@cadenlaguna: I think that perhaps due to separation of the populace from the food production chain they do not realize what 'normal' farm life is like for animals. Chicks die, just like human babies die. Sometimes their moms accidentally crush them, sometimes it is too cold, sometimes an egg goes bad before

Keeping with the TSA theme week (that is what this week was right?) avoid keeping this item on you or your luggage anywhere near an airport.

Um, these are not that horrible. Was raised on a small ranch and except for the 'batchiness' of these pictures I would swear it was one of our hen houses. Chicks die even in open space coops, sometimes the hens crush them by accident. Perhaps context of the pictures would make them worse.

@bailorg: Did not think that, but when the article was brought to my attention I had to explain it was not my house ;) Just Kiddin of course

Jesus, I think you mis-titled the article. I say this because it is not a discovery that the snakes glide. The meat of the original article is that the scientists have a much better understanding of how the snakes accomplish this feat. But, understanding what Gawker Media is about, kudos!

My parents had a bunch of wild turkeys in their yard over the past weeks. Not allowed to shoot them in their part of the state. Odd part is the females mostly disappeared one weekend while they were gone.

@CrispyAardvark: Of course it is fairly cool. It is not really burning!

Useful for typing in cold conditions while wearing a jacket, but when gloves encumber key presses. With a slight modification to allow screen through it can be used with laptops too.

But I was going for artistic expression shooting for height over width

@UhOK: I called cousin because they are missing the mirror/prism system. Maybe half-sib since they are a cross between point and click and SLR

@sydcinema: Smaller sensor equals fuzzy pic due to less info when blown up.

@MadAmos: But image quality is what is needed, what is the use of a fuzzy picture of the security devices on a building?

This actually seems real simple. DSLRs and their cousins micro four thirds are capable of invading privacy over long distances. Likewise they can be used to take pictures of military targets/terrorism targets.
