I’m not sure you understand what RTW is. It just means that employees can’t be forced to join a union. It doesn’t mean there can’t be unions, and it doesn’t invalidate labor laws, it just means that you do not have to be a member of a union to work in X industry in a state and employers do not have to hire union labor.

Using that logic you can argue that everything is a reliability problem. It needs to be categorized better

Agreed. Kidos to Tesla for finally calling out CRs bullshit

This video is a perfect explanation of how their reliability ratings are bullshit. I will agree that transmission issues are absolutely a reliability issue, but look at what else they dinged cars for:

Its Jason Statham circa 2002. (not really)

Yes, and it is not when you are sampling 400 out of 400,000 in a survey with a significant response bias that they take no steps to mitigate.

Statistically insignificant samples are statistically insignificant samples. They are equally worthless

Nice try, we all know strippers drive Mustangs and new Beetles.

Yeah they’re in the $30k range for one with an interior comparable to that of a base Grand Caravan that you could buy for under $20k

Even CR likes UConnect

The samples are 200-400 cars of each model. That can be as little as a tenth of a percent or less

Well they also said that the HD Rams bring down the reliability score for the brand...you know...the ones with Cummins engines that go over a million miles routinely

This isn’t surprising at all, CR does it all the time. Also, if you read about their methods and sample sizes (in their own FAQ) you will realize they are a pretty worthless source for meaningful information.

If you want to spend more on a poorly finished van with fewer features than a Chrysler, Toyota, or Honda, get a Metris.

Its like a weird fetish some people have. One of the ugliest muscle cars ever-worse than an F-body Roadrunner. And the performance was similarly underwhelming

Don’t let this distract you from the fact that the Plymouth Barracuda is the original pony car.

The payload is about that of a Raptor too

I guarantee you that a Diesel JL will get better MPGs than a Tacoma. V6 Tacomas get similar MPGs to 1/2 tons with V8s

It’s on par with a crew cab Taco or Colorado bed
