loads of primitive low-tech cars such as Chryslers and Volvos have been hacked. like it or not, all new cars are connected. given the choice, i'll take Tesla's Silicon Valley software security teams over Detroit's.

haha i get that.

i drive a Tesla. a P100D, with Ludicrous Mode. picked it up last September. it's … it's completely and utterly ridiculous.

i gotta say, i really hope Steven makes good on his promise to pick up the Rubies on the way back from the zoo. having them running around would be awesome.

once you 80s glam rock, you'll never lesbian space rock … or, uh … ok this is hard.

you guys are terrible at this.

i hear what you're saying about what seems to be their modus operandi regarding the consumption of entire worlds, but isn't it possible that the vast majority of planets out there don't contain intelligent life, or even organic life of any kind? Pink Diamond apparently thought humans were unique enough to create a

it was frankly brilliant. it shattered our expectations of her, based on The Answer, and yet it's entirely consistent with that, as well.

i don't know if i'd say good intentions, per se, but certainly everything she does in this episode is for entirely justifiable, relatable, sympathetic reasons. she is in mourning, and trying to honor the lost and come to terms with her pain. she sees Greg as a remarkable curiosity worth saving, and as a reminder of

well, her foreknowledge isn't perfect, it doesn't really provide Blue Diamond's daily itinerary or anything. all she knows is if she goes there, Blue Diamond sees her.

it sounds to me like your relationship problems are a symptom of issues within you — from your own half-drunk description (and hey, that's all i have to go on) you sound depressed and totally stalled out on your life goals. there's no way a relationship can succeed when one of the partners is in that state. you

the calculus goes like this: it's basically a free lottery ticket. it costs the guy nothing, and (from his perspective) he might conceivably succeed. even if the chances are one in a million, to quote dumb and dumber, "so you're saying there's a chance."

god, it is so good.

..

yeah, i mean, as far as we know there are really only two possibilities right now, unless the hierarchy gets expanded and we are shown some high-ranking but not-quite-diamond level gems running around with their own Pearls. anyway, i think the slow trickle of backstory and worldbuilding is probably my second favorite

they all fly like morons.

i laughed when at one point, Pearl says "back when I served …. Homeworld …". I think a million SU fans eyes lit up in that little pause, hoping to learn definitively whose Pearl she was, only to be disappointed by her deflection. :)

the ability to get away from stuff like this at all is a luxury that many many people do not have. i can choose to turn on and off my attention to this tragedy because as a white dude i'm probably gonna be fine (right up to the end, anyway).

I can't wait for the scene where Bernie Sanders snaps Sean Spicer's neck.

Sure. For me, Snyder's Watchmen is so frustrating because it clearly really could have been good. there are very specific awful choices the director made that he really didn't have to make which damn near torpedo the whole thing for me.
