I'd actually be curious to how you guys use the Xbox One. How many of it's features are gimmicks and how many are you still using? What does a "real world" use of the Xbox One look like?

So how does everyone feel about the length of beta/alpha stages these days?

I think what he is trying to tell you is that when you film something with a camera often the backgrounds are naturally blurred during action/panning shots like this:

Would be interesting to do a comparison between different platforms. Does using a controller change how often people get sick? Does a mouse/keyboard? Does screen size?

I can see the whole "mastering your fear" angle, but it seems like you'll have to toe the line so that you don't make it too easy for expert players and rage inducing for the easily frightened.

Did Kotaku ever cover the launch of Steam In-Home Streaming beta? I don't remember seeing anything about it on here...

I'd argue that the problem is that Nintendo's primary market (or at least the one they seem focused on) is kids/family. And that market in particular is being stolen by smartphone games. Parents seem much more willing to buy kids iPads over consoles. And kids are not yet attached to Mario/Zelda/etc and so grow up on

Do you own one personally? I looked into that one but this thread is the top hit for g930 sidetone which, while old, seems to indicate that the sidetone feature is broken. No idea if it's been fixed by now though.

Does this have sidetone? Can you hear your own voice through the mic? I'm looking for a headset that has this feature, but I couldn't tell if the MMX 300 had it.

While we're discussing this can I get a recommendation for a new headset with sidetone? (For those who don't know sidetone is the feature where the mic relays the sound of your own voice back into the speakers. ) My Logitech F450 is getting a bit long in the tooth and I'm thinking I'll need a replacement.

But what if someone likes the book??

I've gone over this before, but the reason men are "idealized" is because that is what *most* women seem to want. That seems to be what is sexy to them. Often those types of advertisements sell a fantasy. A story about an attractive man that seems to be alluring and mysterious and complex. Because that is what a lot

And this is how my town shows up on Kotaku... -__-

Isn't it the whole point though? I mean it's honestly the only thing Steam Machines have going for them. Otherwise they're just another console with very few games. I read it as stating a fact. Not in all caps like you seem to have taken it.

I've found that I have a tough time handling these sorts of games. I get really attached to the potential of the game and get wrapped up with the hype and all that I think is going to be implemented. But reality normally sets in and features get dropped or altered or are coming 'soon'. I find that I was only ever

Who is freaking out? I thought this was just a PSA for those of us who would like to know if a Steam Machine is going to be upgradable. If that doesn't bother you then sure. But it makes sense to make sure people are aware of this limitation especially since Steam Machines in general are touted as being configurable.

Except that the government already screwed up "the market" by allowing basically all ISPs monopolies. You don't get a choice (or at best one or two). They can screw you over, but you can't do anything about it. This is what has been going on for years now.

I honestly might be interested in a kinect version of tetris. Combine voice commands and gestures to manipulate the pieces.

My dream controller is this, but replace the left touchpad with a regular analogue stick. I don't think that the movement controls should be touch. Also gives the controller more versatility IMO.

Honestly I've seen the advice to trim your profile and take a good picture on pretty much every online dating tips article. Doesn't really seem specific to gamers at all. If anything it seems to cover the people who use online dating services as a whole.
