Totally agreed. It pretty much renders the whole thing useless (IMO).

I think its to address the account sharing that's no doubt been going on. Given that this essentially replaces that "feature" and adds really nothing new (other than separate achievements) it should potentially provide better security and give account sharers less of an excuse.
What I meant was that their "Making too much money too fast" limits should be different based on the type of account. Some random guy making $600k in a week should throw up all kinds of warnings. But when it's Notch, the indie-superstar? Obviously there is nothing fishy going on there. Same with a development studio.…
Nope, I'm afraid not. From the FAQ:

Just be aware that not all DLC works for this game as they've deactivated the DLC servers.
Honestly this seems rather pointless. Having separate achievements and not needing to hand over account details is nice, but if it still won't allow me to at least play a different game than my friend is playing, I don't have much use for it.
Except that it's really:
If Valve's version requires constant check ins of my Steam account I'll be just as pissed with them as I was with Microsoft. No one (to my knowledge) thought digital game sharing was a bad idea. It was just the DRM and online checks that came along with it.
The problem is that they want in on the pie that is crowdfunding while simultaneously enforcing rules that go against the very nature of crowd funding. They either need to support crowdfunding in a rational way or they need to stop offering payment options on indiegogo.
Edit: This article seems to directly contradict what you're saying
I think I might even stick with Apple if I could get that pikachu one!
(this would be the "Cloud Computing", boosting the performance of the literal APU processor, taking the load of rendering shadows, AI, physics to name a few and allowing the APU to breathe more and flex it's muscle on visuals, textures, etc. leading to a more intense experience).
I really hope the PS4's start up sound is as good as the PS3's. That never gets old for me. And it works well for whatever reason you turned on the system for be it games, movies or music.
Yep. It's annoying at first, but after you change all the defaults to non-metro apps it's pretty much a better Win 7 with a fancy start menu. And 8.1 brings back the start button which is convenient.
Honestly I get frustrated by both sides. The older people call me when a text would suffice. The younger people (or my own age) try and hash out an entire conversation in text form, when a 5 minute phone call would work better. Choose the appropriate communication method people!
I've found this happens to me outside of work as well. I have to control myself when a friend vents her frustrations to me so that I don't adopt her frustrations as my own. It got to the point where it was really poisoning my opinion of another friend so I had to tell her to stop venting to me at all. It just wasn't…
Mobiles may still kill off portables (though I doubt it, at least for awhile), but I don't see the consoles going anywhere. Both the PS3 and 360 made great strides at becoming media centers and the PS4/X1 seem to be improving upon that idea. If anything they are at the forefront of new technologies such as the Apple…
Gotcha. I agree. While I do still appreciate better graphics (even if I think all that tech is wasted on "realistic" models), they could definitely focus more on AI, physics, world size, etc. They think no one will care or understand, but I think that's because they haven't taken the time to educate people.
I looked at getting those monitors. How do you like them as a dual monitor setup? I was worried the bases wouldn't be able to line up properly...
