Right? And remember the “old skool” days when the media ignored the “news” aspect of sports and just stuck to the scores?

She’s old school. She likes the much simpler times when athletes didn’t make political statements. They just went out there and played the games.

Does anyone still “tune in” to Sports Center? Isn’t it just on TVs in bars and waiting rooms? Because no one is listening to SC it might as well just be highlights. Probably could ditch the anchors and just do graphics. “LOOK AT THIS CATCH” “NEAT HOME RUN” “GOOFY STUFF!”

This reminds me of the debate of Leno vs. Conan. A bunch of people taking sides, arguing their points, getting angry, while none of them actually even watched either show.

hell yeah......that’s why i watch sportscenter......standings...i fuckin love to wait 20 minutes to see a static image of something i can also find by googling “baswba;; standibgs” while on the treadmill without breaking stride

I mean, on NFL Mondays, you will see every highlights from every game played on Sunday. Every one.

“He couldn’t coherently answer any questions,” Schultz said.

Ryen with an ‘e’?

They get reimbursed through the valuable educators that a good football team brings to the...hahaha oh god sorry I can’t finish that bullshit line!

Funny that when they turn a profit they don’t reimburse students, though.

More like Mike Leech

I’m a Bills fan, and his last paragraph got my star, because I fully sympathize.

For what it’s worth, he also covered 100% of the cost of building Gillette Stadium out of his own pocket.

One more point of praise for Bob Kraft. He bought his own land, and paid for his own fucking stadium. No “tax the shit out of everyone within 5 miles to pay for my team bullshit.”

As a Jets fan, I’ve suffered a great many indignities, from the Buttfumble, to Tebowmania, to Brett Favre’s penis.

How Peter King and a thousand hot-takers across the nation read this:

“Also, I was trying to get our entire team to follow Kap’s protest and would have except our chickenshit QB thought it would be bad for his advertising value to say anything of interest about anything controversial.”

Even his coach admits this take is truer than the beams in Tower 7.

This is an excellent take that will be drowned out by rocket fuel-level takes from fans and talking heads alike real soon. So I will applaud this before the avalanche of hate-fueled and/or point-missing retorts comes, in and out of the league.
