A tale told by an idiot

That bottle looks like what comes in the “Mr. Beer” kit that you can get at department stores. Its the cheapest, most idiot proof home brew kit that makes what tastes like shitty Budweiser. So really, probably the perfect kit for Spicey.

One who buys his “home brew kit” half off at Rite Aid after Christmas?

this is the feed of someone who thinks hes a beer geek, but really has no idea

that’s false :)

maybe you’re right. they probably will point to this later and be like PROOF! but i guess i’m just jaded (or hopeful? maybe) enough to read that every statement and tweet is reactionary. like they freaked enough that they had to beat rachel to the punch.

“Those tweets were designed to build an audience” - there were literally TWO tweets, that factually stated information. That’s it. There certainly was too much hype in the twitterverse, but not because Maddow did anything to create it other than to tell people what to expect from her show that night.

I mean, if you don’t know a 1040 works, I’m sorry? It literally is just a line-item calculation of a few numbers. It tells you nothing about how you get those numbers(and everyone who has ever anxiously waited for their W2 to file their taxes should understand the need for backup documentation) , so if you were

Wrong. If you watched the show or have listened to the subsequent analysis its actually quite helpful for the overall puzzle here. Everybody just wants the bomb. It doesn’t always happen like that (watergate).

definitely we agree on that! every little bit helps to chip away at the floodgates (did i mix my metaphors enough there?)

ok! we can both come back to this thread in 3 months and one of us can eat our words. see you then!

oh, sure! granted! and he’s leaked stuff about himself before. rachel and johnston (i forget her guest’s name) both acknowledged that this being a leak from him is a possibility.

i certainly agree with you that the BREAKING and (seriously) in her original tweet was clickbaity. but as you said she’s gotta get ratings. i think she knew it was clickbaity and backpedaled (for lack of a better word) with the second tweet.

lol, no it’s not “us v. them” in the sense of bernie bros v. hillary supporters. all i meant was that many people don’t like her style. many other people do.

lol ok, you and people don’t like her journalistic style. that’s fine. but you all act like she promised something and didn’t follow through on it, or kicked your dog. she said what she had, and delivered.

Well, I don’t think it’s Rachel Maddow’s fault that they put a countdown clock up during Chris Hayes’s show. I don’t think her tweeting was out of line either—it was pretty standard for her, actually. And the segment at beginning of her show provided a lot of relevant, important context—that’s also pretty standard for

As an experienced Rachel watcher, it seemed pretty clear to me that there would be no answers to the questions she was bringing up in the tax returns — and that that was precisely why she was bringing them up then.

but that’s her style. that’s how she literally does every show. she’s a journalist. she provides her reasons, her sources, etc., first and foremost, then gets to her point. she’s a journalist.

THANK YOU.

I think it’s certainly worthy of debate whether one thinks she miscalculated her audience. But, I do find it weird that some people are framing this as a rushed job as if she ran the story the same day she got it, as if she’s known for not being careful or something.

As people have been saying, Watergate didn’t happen all with one big story. There were multiple cracks in the dam and THEN it all exploded. Every piece matters and adds up and can be built upon to take the next step forward to uncovering the truth.
