It boggles the mind that what was once a huge damn joke, CAPS LOCK, passes as "writing" now. And emoticons. And "because <blank>" constructions. Truly stunning.

If I send you the latest episode of Cinema Sins each time a new one goes live, will you pay me freelance rate?

The real question is how much does Gawker pay Kotaku writers to post these?

I actually watched that gif thinking it would show part of what the article was mentioning.

It seems very weird to me to include "see grown men losing their shit" because it's clearly undercutting even though you, Luke, are writing for a video game blog and we're all kind of in the same boat here. Then again, the unnecessary snark is something I've come to expect.

I hear you. I don't like the gif-ification of the internet, but I guess that's what's in style these days. I've noticed that Gawker writers tend to comment very quickly on their posts, kind of jump starting the comment section, so I wonder if that was a case of what was going on.

Why wouldn't this be posted at the top of the article? Seems to make just a tiny bit more sense than a thousand compressed gifs.
