In this case, the distinction is meaningless. Nobody is having a church service, it’s not that organized, they’re just getting in a circle and having a quick prayer. Are you saying that they can pray individually but not together? Because that isn’t true either.

So if players get paid, you don’t think they should be able to pray in the locker room? Yeah, that’s not how it works.

First of all, I’m an atheist that was raised in a Mormon household. With that out of the way: If a team wants to have a team prayer (just like my family does), go right ahead. A prayer in and of itself should not be a problem. If a player doesn’t want to participate, do what I do: sit there and wait a while. A prayer
