We’re #9! Wooo! Now, is that *all* white people?

More interested in the sequel Deadspin 2 with all of the original characters

How the fuck can you expect it to identify non-binary correctly?

So it turns out facial recognition software can’t read minds? What an amazing, groundbreaking study.

Hey it’s a good thing I’m still ungreyed here so I can tell Jim Spanfeller to SUCK MY FUCKING DICK

Hey guys, I feel kinda bad for asking, but is there any official Kotaku/GMG staff response that we’re going to start seeing posted about Deadspin? I’m lurking all their Twitters, refreshing the site way more than I should - I am really bummed that Businesschuds who think they Know Better because they control money

I’m just here to tell Jim Spanfeller, Paul Maidment and the rest of the cowards to get fucked.

Lol, this is true of like 90% of the people in Hollywood. The adage is “it’s who you know” not “it’s what you know.” Of course, these “personal” connections are all based on social privilege, and, well, we know how that goes.

Let’s be honest, as popular as The Wire, Sopranos and the others you mentioned were, they never achieved the hype that Game Of Thrones did, nope.

This site thinks Einstein was a mediocre white man.

Arguably it’s definitely more popular than The Wire, Larry Saunders and Curb.

*chef's kiss*

To be fair, “no experience” isn’t quite accurate, nor what they say. Benioff, at the very least, had several film credits. He just just didn’t have any Television experience. I’d expect a lot of that knowledge would carry over fairly well, just a bit of a ramp up time in transitioning from one medium to the other.

I agree that we aren’t allowed in the room without major experience but being “excellent,” is debatable. Tyler Perry is not excellent but he built something from basically nothing and had lots of experience by the time he got there.

It’s still their most popular show. This isn’t two decades ago, this is 2019 and GOT, unfortunately, had high viewership and critical acclaim.

Bitter.

Good on you for the solidarity kotaku has shown today. I’m sorry you’re all going through this. We’re with you.

Petchesky was just canned, unbelievable.

As someone who was once part of a similar insurrection against arrogant, incompetent, and condescending management, I want to applaud all of y’all for today’s showing. I’m sure you’re simultaneously enjoying the fun of mutiny while also understanding the risk. Please also know how much it means to us here in the feebl
