I doubt at that point that anyone would actually own their own car though. Maybe it would be a thing for the corporate monoliths controlling ground transportation, however.

That's actually a really cool feature and I begrudge you complaining about it. CD players are tactile, which means that you don't have to stare at your phone and scroll through if you want to change songs or find something that you want, and you don't have to fiddle with an unresponsive touchscreen.
