Something to be aware of for screen savers. They may end in .scr but all of them, even the legit ones, literally are just exe's renamed to that. There are no differences between screensavers and other apps, i.e. they are not restricted in any way. They can still access your files, registry, network, peripherals, etc.

As a software developer, it's hard to watch many movies or TV shows that abuse technology, but one movie always leaves me with a "some day I'll have something like that" childish aspiration. Iron Man, specifically Jarvis, the omnipresent brain of the house/suit. I just watched it again last weekend on TV and although

I broke out laughing when you first "hit it with a hammer." It was just funny to me.

I finally got a windows tablet. First I'd like to say that Windows 7 on a tablet is not near as bad as people will try and tell you. That said, there isn't a lot of software geared towards being used in a touch screen environment on windows. I'm looking for inspiration to develop applications on a multi-touch tablet.

When all else fails... cheat your way in:

For those of you who aren't in Google+ yet... I'm just going to leave this here...

FYI People, Ubisoft screwed up RUSE by only allowing multi touch to work on HP Touchsmart computers.

@theCyborg: Aside from the obvious ;) Of course I need a few good touch games, like Angry Birds and almost any RTS (including R.U.S.E.) but does anybody know of any good utility applications or anything outside of games?

So I bought a tablet off newegg a few days ago and it's coming in today. It's running Windows 7 Home Premium. What are some must have applications for a multi touch tablet?

Also, this was around long before LulzSec came into the spotlight. This is purely Anon's creation.

You guys are a little slow to find this. In the Anon IRC channel #OpNewBlood, it's their subject. It's been up for quite awhile... So I've heard...

Can't beat the price of utorrenting ;)

There's all sorts of ways to get out of trouble if caught torrenting. I've been caught 6 times (V for Vendetta, Red Faction Guerrilla, TES: Oblivion, Prototype, Deadspace, Rosetta Stone) and normally they notify you that you're sharing, and then you stop sharing that torrent. The fine print of all the notification

Sorry, I misread your "Doesn't work that way" statement.

I doubt it's reliant on the browser. If it were reliant on the browser, then surely Google's own browser would be compliant. Especially their dev channel where Google's trying experimental things. If you're still running XP, try running this in command prompt: netsh interface ipv6 install

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that it's the network card or the OS that determines IPv6, not the browser. I bet Netscape Navigator would appear IPv6 ready on your setup.

That's a setting for using Google Apps to handle your mail. If you own a domain you should look into it.

It requires root to actually take the screen shot. A successful installation does not verify the apps functionality.

Does anybody know a reliable way to remove system icons from the notification area? I have a smaller screen on my Optimus T and I find some of the system notifications icons unnecessary.
