Acura RSX/Honda Integra DC5 (at least with the heated leather seats.) The seat backs were comfortable and supportive, the lumbar support was pretty good, but the seat bottoms were hard and uncompliant. The car’s stiff stock springs and damping transmitted all road imperfections to my posterior.  I swear some of the I5

“A muddy naked dude was hiding in my trunk for three days:" How to tell somebody you're from Nanaimo without saying you're from Nanaimo!

Came to the comments to suggest this. Full sized FWD sedans make a lot of sense as a first car. There’s a lot more car between the new driver and the rest of the world. The Park Avenue Ultra is already a sleeper when it’s stock and the few weak points under the hood can be addressed pretty affordably (Intake manifold p

I have a friend with a 70k km (43k miles) 2005 M6 with the S85 and I have to agree with you wholeheartedly. It’s a magical experience to drive, particularly when you don’t have to own it!

My favourite part of the article was "...green M4 sedan and a pleasingly yellow M3 coupe."

No STD jokes, but in Canada we call those "Sexually Transmitted Infections," or STIs.  Every single time I see a WRX STI.  Every single time...

Ow ow ow. I once drove 12 hours up I5 in inclement weather in my RSX. I was cycling the seat heater on and off to try and combat my aching butt and lower back. I tried shoving a camping pillow on the seat and that helped a lot, but then my head was banging into the headliner or sunroof moulding on every crack or

While it seems unlikely that a key fob itself would be able to transmit continuously without draining its battery, aftermarket remote car starters with 2-way communication are pretty common in that part of the country. The remote starter module in the vehicle sends a confirmation signal to the key fob to indicate that

Dagnabbit.  Somebody must have let the AI bot read Jalopnik!  That Mustang clearly knows about Cars and Coffee!

It really sounds like your hard drive is beginning to fail. My guess is that the drive is hitting a ton of read errors when Windows is trying to restore from the “hibernate” image during the hybrid boot. The machine might behave during steady state use if it’s not trying to access damaged areas of the disk.  If you’ve

The Toyota Park Avenue.

That shift pattern would be a very effective theft deterrent. I think somebody ought to make replacement shift knobs with horrifyingly complex (and bogus) patterns on them.

I think it’s reasonable given that it doesn’t have to fail the pressure test in order for the gasket to be replaced. If it passes the pressure test and there is no evidence of coolant in the cylinders, Ford engineering probably says that the head itself is significantly unlikely to be damaged/warped/out of spec.

Almost unbelievable to me, but one can get three pedals, six speeds, and RWD well under $15K, leaving room for extended warranty.  It’s definitely not a truck, but it ticks those other boxes. (If you don’t mind a Scion badge on it.)

That’s a clean looking Raider you’ve got there!

It’s a turboencabulator!!!!

Those wheels. Want!
