Ugh yes, how dare women turn an already capitalist holiday that shames us into thinking we don’t have as much value if we’re not in a relationships into a day where we hang out with girlfriends and get drunk amirite
There needs to be context about the format of play. What's good can be wildy different depending on the format you're playing in, that is, if it's singles, doubles, choose 3/4 or 6v6. The aforementioned Murkrow would never be used outside of doubles. Palafin, who wasn't mentioned at all, is too strong to handle in 6v6…
“For example, a lot of competitive players have latched onto Murkrow”
This only applies to VGC Double Battles, as are used for Regional, National, and World Championships.
This tier list has nothing to do with VGC Double Battles however, and you’ll likely find almost nobody using Murkrow in Standard. Chi-Yu and Company…
Cool that you are shedding light on this unofficial esport which means so much to a lot of people. (VGC being the far less popular official format)
Someone blowing off steam on Twitter isn’t credible.
Walker is missing the point. This has nothing to do with being silenced on the subject of abortion. If you make threats about the government you will get a visit from HLS. This has always been the case. It is their job to investigate you and make sure that you aren’t actually going to burn anything down.
I don’t usually get into the the comments this early, so I’ll address the TST question in a bit, but first, I just want to say this:
Wow, this is utterly tone deaf and particularly inappropriate coming on the tails of yesterday’s SCOTUS ruling. We’re all in this fight together and putting out an inaccurate hit piece against TST helps no one. For those interested, here’s the full context and response from Lucien Greaves’ free patreon:
I wish they’d quit trotting out womens basketball for these kinds of think pieces cause its the easiest product to criticize. Successful women’s sports are those where the skill gap isn’t blatantly obvious or if it is then the game is still entertaining.

It’ll all become clear when you put on your magic underpants.
No, it wouldn’t. I know a lot of people consider Mother 3 to be the Greatest Game Ever Made, but the Earthbound series has never been mainstream. Like, MAYBE a physical copy of Mother 3 would reach 1 million units in sales due to the Switch effect, but you’re only to get, maybe, a couple thousand people at best to buy…
It’s okay, we all make mistakes we regret later in life.
Counterpoint: Nearly every argument applies to nearly every restaurant.
There should be age and term limits for all offices.
Meh. Your complaint is that these promotions aren’t a good fit for you because of your location and your unwillingness to jump through hoops.
I could make a similar complaint every time Victoria’s Secret puts lingerie on sale (“This is dumb! It doesn’t apply to me at all!”). But I don’t. Because I don’t have an…
“30 cents per gallon? Five beverage purchases? Linked accounts? I am draping red string across my home office trying to figure this one out. On one hand, I’d love to save 30 cents per gallon to fuel up my sweet, sweet Honda Fit. On the other, are the savings really that meaningful when it takes me five coffee…
This is so disappointing. I don’t get upset at large salaries for non-profits, they have to compete against corporations for good, qualified people and, to get the right people in place, the higher salaries are usually justified, and a well-run non-profit can raise the funds to off-set the higher salaries. But this? I…
Buying the house as “The Black Lives Matter Global Foundation” doesn’t exactly count as “going to great lengths to cover up the purchase.” Like, I’m pretty sure there are sneakier corporate names you could choose rather than one almost identical to your organization name. I also wish articles like this would do more…
