I drank (and are a delicious andouille sausage) at Monk's when I was in Philly in July, it was amazing. And I found it by accident while wandering around looking for ANY bar so I could take a piss, and this just happened to be the closest one.

Eh, I tend to take that sort of comment as hyperbole, I feel like I hear it from them once or twice per season.

Most of these are pretty good answers, specifically black IPAs, normal pale ales, and dark lagers. A local brewery did a raspberry black IPA recently that was very good.

Steph winning star baker really just proves the technical doesn’t matter to judging at all. Coming in first couldn’t save Helena, and coming in first didn’t push Alice to star baker (Steph was somewhere in the middle!). Alice earned it, but they gave it to Steph just for the hat trick.
