That sounds ridiculously fun.

USHER IS NOT OLD. If Usher is old, that means that I am getting old too. :(

What in God's name is this hair? It's like some scene kid from 2004 wormed their way into this woman's dressing room to style her.

Eh, I have a feeling that this isn't the last that we've heard from Begich or Dunbar, even if the results don't change. There are still about 50,000 absentee votes to be counted, so Begich at least could have a happy outcome (fingers crossed). If not then I'm sure they'll pop up in later elections.

It's still gotta be better than a venomous pest infested swampland powered by prescription opiates and televangelists.

As a fellow Alaskan, I concur. Alaska >>>>>> Florida. And most other places in the country. The Congressional races turned out to be a steaming turd pile (so far), but at least everything else seemed to go well this time around.

I'm glad that you had an exceptional upbringing and involved, protective parents. Not everyone has that, then or now.

This, and the fact that all of this stuff occurred in the 1960's and 1970's, when attitudes toward "age differences" were somewhat more relaxed than they are today and where most people just didn't view domestic violence or sexual assault as something that needed to be made public or an invitation for other parties to

I love you for posting this picture.

"[Sloths] had two options - either they had to eat more...or do less."

She was still playing a teenager at that point, I guess?. I really can't wrap my head around the fact that she was like 20 when that show started and still managed to look at least 2 years younger than her character was supposed to be for the duration at that show. It's a little mind blowing.

HBO is where it's at if you need a Center Stage fix. At least once a year they'll play it for like a month straight. It's glorious.

I think a lot of it is the richer color (the styling helps too though, of course). I was going to point out her hairstyles from this video too. Something about the placement of the highlights really makes the color blend in with her skin, and that little contrast between hair and skin looks good on almost no one.

No, I am not accusing Liberians or citizens of other affected countries of not treating their patients with respect and care. I am saying that thousands of people are being turned away from treatment facilities because they are overrun with patients (as you point out), thus leaving thousands of people "untreated". And

I think that the difference in the way that Ebola patients are depicted in the West has more to do with the patients being locked in quarantine facilities while they are undergoing treatment, they are not dying in the streets or infecting their families. There is no way for photographers and journalists to portray the

You're very right about that. I think the most compassionate coverage that I've seen from this outbreak so far was in the Frontline episode that aired a few weeks ago about it. They interviewed a married couple who were both infected and quarantined together and the level of concern that they had for themselves and

To be fair, I think that he point of the picture of the little girl that was referenced in the original post was meant to shock readers and inspire compassion. I don't think that the photojournalist was taking those photos from the standpoint of a higher moral plane or arguing that the people of the region deserve

Ehhhhh...

...

For real. I haven't seen anything like this cruising down the runways lately:
