I was thinking a lot about this as for many years I fell into the "never pay full price" camp. I decided to bite on Midnight Suns, super deluxe version or w.e for $100. That $100 wouldn't pay for 2 seconds of development time given the size of the teams needed to make the game. And the just like that I stopped arguing…

two things, 1. i think it’s worth acknowledging that i’d be more annoyed about performance issues had i paid $60 and not received a review copy 2. things should be expensive to compensate workers well and fairly, but most of a video games’ $60 is not going to the people that made it (as far as i know).
