Yes it is, go back to the GameSpot interview.

I mean...they knew PvE was cancelled by the time PvP launched, and likely earlier, and still teased it for months and months and months. Dishonest as fuck.
You didn’t pre-order OW2 because there was nothing to pre-order. It was a F2P PvP game when it released with no ability to “buy” the PvE.
My biggest takeaway from this blog post beyond the lack of any new information and the extremely poorly communicated timelines in terms of when things happened...
“But it’s free, guys!”
Linus decided to turn it down, though, citing a combination of factors like the fact they liked working with the company as it was and that, to be real, they were already super rich already.
Yeah, it sounds fuckin grim. I’m sure D4 will launch well and devs are sticking around for performance bonuses, but I worry that post-launch the live-service team is gonna be a shell of what it should be.
Loaded up the game.
He was? You got some sauce? Because last I recall we were all hoping it wasn’t because he got handsy and gross with staffers but that literally nobody had any idea in the slightest.
Yeah, I went back and checked and Kaplan left in 2021...so I’m thinking now that he may have realized how unworkable the PvE portion was back then and peaced out ahead of time.
Overwatch died for this, rofl. So OW2 is now just a large patch, period. Not a sequel (rofl) and not even an expansion, just a big patch after a VERY long dry spell.
Yves just YOLOing and all-in on AC to carry the company, now. He really is gonna run Ubi into the ground rather than give the reigns to literally anyone remotely competent.
How does one get to be in charge of some initiative/division like this?
Don’t worry, if they need more money to pay for devs I’m sure Mike Ybarra can sell a few more Mythic+ runs in WoW to raise the money.
Damn...the comparisons to Destiny 2 are not great since I hate how they handle delivering narrative that exists while the “year” is active and then disappears forever. I’ll have to read more into it to see if the additional narrative/whatever content actually sticks around, because if not that potentially kills a lot…
I genuinely wonder if they’ll give Arkane the time and budget to fix this mess. There seems to be a good game...somewhere underneath it all, but the more I see about the game the more I wonder if they can even find that good game without fairly major reworks to most of the game systems. I hope they do, because the…
Does he know people can own BOTH consoles? And game on BOTH of them?
Game Pass is great and uh...he’s very good at spending Daddy Nadella’s money on a bunch of acquisitions. I’m wondering if there’s anything else notable under his watch other than delivering a second underwhelming start to a generation.
He could always quit!
I’m once again here asking what Phil Spencer has done for the Microsoft brand outside of Game Pass (which is increasingly losing its shine) and spend Daddy Nadella’s money on studio acquisitions.
