Windows Central is reporting Microsoft didn’t even bother overseeing anything and just let Bethesda handle this game entirely on their own. So it’s squarely on Bethesda for shitting the bed, but also on Microsoft for not bothering to oversee their now first party studio.

It’s telling when Valve is promoting Age of Wonder 4 instead of Redfall today. And that Redfall isn’t even cracking the top 10 sales charts on Steam. And that it’s sitting at a “Mostly Negative” score to AoW4's “Mostly Positive” score with a similar number of reviews for each.
