What did the 1GB+ hotfix do? We don’t know! Vague “stability improvements” but no actual notes, so I guess we’re taking their word on this. The same word that told us the game was “ahead of schedule” and “trust us, fam”, so I can’t say I take DICE at their word anymore.

Real talk, this update is a joke. A month of radio silence, 3 months after launch, and this update literally says nothing. They could have said, “We’ll work with you on improving the game” at the beginning of the month, or in Nov/Dec. and it would have meant just as much - nothing.

They can! Like the decision to swiftly lay off a bunch of contract QA workers they said would be getting hired on full-time. Couldn’t do that as easily or quickly if those workers were unionized!

I love the “direct relationship” bit...as if that direct relationship hasn’t been the core of their problems from the past few decades.

That moment when you unintentionally provide media with the perfect header image for an article throwing shade.

I hate everything about this BUT there may be a silver lining with it going to the NLRB. I’m not 100% sure on how this all works legally, and I know it’s not a court so the legal definition of Precedent doesn’t fully apply but...this could potentially stand to set a precedent within the gaming industry in the US with

That’s it, I’m officially out of old world curses to cast on Kotick.

I’ve seen some of those and I...hope it’s not true, even if it would explain a lot. Like, how EA would think making it a BR game after the BR in BF1 tanked HARD, and that they already have a successful BR game in Apex Legends, is beyond me. Genuine deadbrained stuff.

So...they’ve created Second Life, but somehow even lower quality?

Right now we’re getting scoreboards that are of lower quality than what community members not being paid to create UI’s are designing. I get it, there are limitations to what DICE can do and all but like...

You salty, brah? And naw dog, I don’t own current gen. Just a Scorpio and a Pro sitting beneath my TV.

Seriously, this news today sucks. I mean, I guess it was funny when Take Two bought that silly Farmville company for the price of three Star Wars/Lucasfilm’s. Or sure, maybe it was when Microsoft bought Bethesda for a steal at JUST TWO STAR WARS/LUCAS FILMS!

I’d actually prefer they move onto Destiny 3 with an engine they can futureproof if this is the way they plan on moving forward, though.”

Except the OG plan was always for three Destiny titles published under Activision. Destiny 2 was supposed to be supported for about as long as Destiny 1 was before the team moved onto Destiny 3.

My favorite part is they lied to the investigator and said they were “just talking about the game”.

Still putting money on this being an engine limitation as the game was never intended to run this long/grow this big. And that without a big publisher to back/fund a Destiny 3 (and them changing their plans), that they’re doing the best they can with the current engine which was never scoped out for this kind of

I hate this stuff. Don’t refund games you’ve enjoyed, even if you finish them and they’re short. Hell, I have MAYBE an hour into Proteus but like...I’m never refunding that game. I loved that hour and got everything I wanted out of the game at the time, it was a delight. I may never play it again, but like hell would

Worth noting - their fiscal quarter ends in a week. Sure seems like they needed to push this out the door for that. Once again, quarterly/annual reports seem to have rushed out a game for the sake of the short-term bottom line at the expense of the reputation of the developer/game and the frustration of a fiercely

Honestly, the death scenes in Tomb Raider are infinitely more brutal than anything I've played in this game.

It’s like saying, “Welp, water is wet.”
