She says she wants these to be teaching tools in schools, meaning that there needs to be a level of academic rigor behind her research. There need to be peer reviewed studies that are done in a scientific form. She uses some, but she also heavily pulls from studies that are not peer reviewed or really vetted in any

Discussing those is ultimately in everyone's interest.

Seriously. I was expecting something ludicrous given how Nintendo seems to rarely ever pay attention to broader industry trends in favor of doing their own thing, but was pleasantly surprised that by doing just that, that they created an amazing amount of value.

And I've never disagreed with that point. SJW overreact to everything, it doesn't matter what it is.

"I'm not racist, but I wouldn't attend a convention called, 'African-American-Con' because I'm not black so the name doesn't appeal to me even though I know nothing of who will be attending/is welcome or what the activities will be."

When did I imply that they don't? Oh...I didn't! I'm just as much against the social justice warrioring as the next reasonable individual.

I'm totally not racist/bigoted, but niggers are fucking stupid.

It's the double standard. Promoting minorities is always cool. Promoting majorities is not.

It isn't scandalous. Job adverts are just that, adverts. When you go in for an interview is when you start getting down to brass tacks. You don't see ads in the paper, on TV, or online going into great detail (at least not regularly) of every aspect of a job. It will give highlights, it will deal with the high level

Why does Blizzard want to be an industry leader in that? Things like crunch time, job insecurity, lackluster wages/benefits etc. all have helped the industry grow to the size it is. Removing them puts more of a financial burden on publishers/large developers. The interest is in maintaining the status quot.

Since when does marketing (a recruitment video is marketing) ever include the negative aspects of something? The whole point of marketing is to highlight the good and ignore the bad.

Somehow I don't think any recruitment video for a company is going to focus on the negative aspects of the job, company, or industry...just saying.

Yeah, the only "decent" games I've really played are either PC ports or ports from old consoles.

Sounds a lot like that one game making a lot of money. Was it?

You mean it's almost as if 95% of the mobile industry, including AAA publishers, is nothing but a paint by numbers orgy of clones with different hats? : P

If there was something that I wanted to see there, sure. I don't really care who shows up as long as they're not assholes.

Indeed. Just like the US government loves to hire regulators from within their respective industries and how various industries love to give cushy jobs to the legislators that once wrote laws impacting them and their industry.

Erm... if the fact that it is called "GaymerX" turned you away, then I hate to break it to you but you're a bit of a homophobe.

Lol, Batman rides a trike.

There's the odd game like D3 every here and there that actually doesn't get widely pirated. I know there are a few cracks out there but none are very good.
