Oh, shocking, he's making another shooter.

Well, from that trailer and the fact it's Gearbox (who have really only done one decent thing in recent years), I'm pretty unhyped.

The question is, does anyone believe a word Maxis says after the Sim City debacle? I mean, I can't imagine that it's to terribly difficult to put pools and some basic AI interaction to go along with them. Toddlers, sure, but pools?

At this point in the game, I'm pretty sure the majority of the players are idiots in Azeroth. I briefly came back to check out MoP at the urging of my roommate and holy hell. Even in LFR, a place where it's almost impossible to fail if you are concious, there would be players failing spectacularly at the most basic of

Haven't played X-Rebirth, simply going off what I've read since they patched the hell out of the game.

Mechwarrior Online was in "open beta" (basically soft-launch for F2P MMO's nowadays) for roughly a year, you're right. But MMO's (even many of the lobby based shooters like Mechwarrior) don't follow the same trends of traditional retail single player games. MMO's and psuedo-MMO's are never "finished". There are always

Is this game produced by Michael Bay? Because there's a a whole lot of explosions going on.

? Are you complaining about day one patches?

Early access games are understood to be unfinished. Properly released games are supposed to be finished. If word travels that the "finished" game is unfinished, without the context that it was accidentally released, that will hurt overall sales.

I'd buy the shit out of that game. It's like, everything I want out of a ludicrous game.

God, I want this game to be re-released, in the West, on last gen systems so fucking badly.

Most interesting shooter for a current gen console that I've seen.

What we know: Sega are asshats and probably won't bring this over to the West : (

Because even in video games, black folks have to sit at the back of the boat.

What didn't make sense, specifically?

The most famous French assassin who killed...one person who was very ill and sitting in a tub. Yeah, that's sure the recipe for a swashbuckling action game!

Except that I never said games need ultra-HD textures and millions spent on the art alone. There are plenty of gorgeous games without multi-million dollar budgets, because they make use of interesting art styles. Trine, Hyperlight Drifter, Bastion/Transistor, pretty much anything American McGee has made, Proteus and

But I thought they weren't historically accurate which is why everyone was so upset that you can't play a female assassin (which wouldn't make sense given what we know of the game) in 19th century France!

And a drink of water far more subtle than Marco Rubio could ever hope for!

In the immediate future...replaying Saints Row 3 again, going to try to get through FFXIII-2 after just finishing Killer is Dead. But after that, I don't know. I doubt I'll even finish either game this month, as I'll probably get distracted by the dozen or so MMO's I have installed like I usually do. Which reminds me,
