I'm not saying it's ridiculous by any means! Quite the contrary, I'm arguing that making one a huge issue while dismissing the others is silly. I'd LOVE to see more female assassins, more assassins of color, more assassins of various sexualities.

When did I ever say it bothered me? I mean, whenever I'm given the option to choose a character I always play a female character (I'm male), and more often than not I'll gravitate towards non-white characters, ggenerally Asian or Hispanic (I'm white). Honestly, I find playing straight white dudes pretty boring. That's

I'm well aware of that. But they'd have to craft a story where a womans social status within the society would make sense for her actions. Where her seeming powerlessness is used as a weapon. If they craft the story for a man, simply model swapping for a woman doesn't make sense in the same context, as people would

I'm saying that women most usually do not. They have different muscle and bone structures than men usually do, which is one reason that, for example, there is a difference in both strength and speed between men and women. Just as there are differences in vocal chords in the vast majority so that they sound different.

I don't view any one group as more or less deserving of equality, so no, it doesn't seem like a special interest "majority" group. I feel all folks should be treated equal, regardless of how few or how many of them they are.

I agree! I'd love more games with female leads. But I'm not going to bitch every time a game comes out without one.

I'm assuming gear/loadout. Read the statement above.

Good question, especially considering Ubisoft is French and all >.>

If Bethesda said that, there would be riots, you're correct. But know what? It's because they have a history of letting the player create their player character. Ubisoft with Assassins Creed? No, they don't.

That got ported to PC and all last gen consoles.

Correct, you're always playing Arno, no other character. There is no such thing as character customization.

Because the player wouldn't see it. The player character is always Arno, it's the other players who appear slightly different. So if someone else were to choose a female character, they would still see themselves as Arno, but others would see them as female. Would that really change their experience so much?

There is no competitive multiplayer. The only character that you can play throughout the entire game is Arno, just as with every other AC you haven't had a choice of which character to play through the game on.

Uh...money matters, yo. It's always mattered. If it didn't matter, we'd have better games, I agree. But welcome to reality. The industry has always been like this. Always.

It's co-op multiplayer only, no competitive multiplayer. They want everyone to only play as Arno, nobody else. No different than any Assassin's Creed game where you can only play as the main character through the story.

I don't give a rats ass who the main character is in a game. Hell, when I play games that let me choose, I choose female characters (I am a male), and will frequently go for a non-white look (I'm white). I find white dudes to be boring as fuck.

You're very correct. However, the majority were. And if you wanted to be a good assassin, you blend in. Somehow I feel like playing as an Asian dude in 19th century Paris isn't exactly inconspicuous.

Well, the last two games starred a native american male, and a half black half native american female. First game had a muslim. And all fit their settings.

Also, WORTH FUCKING NOTING.

Wut?
