Because there’s nothing special about Soldier. Which isn’t a bad thing, really. That’s his thing, he’s the normal one. In a room full of bombastic, colorful, crazy characters, he’s the good old standard. His kit is running, shooting an assault rifle, and using his visor to legally aimbot.

Again, that’s nothing against

It probably depends a bit on location. There’s a specific Cracker Barrel I’ll stop at when I’m headed down south. They’re always pretty good. A lot of the food is very... hmm, neutral? Like, there’s flavor, but it’s all savory and salty all the time. The Cocoa-Cola [chocolate] Cake is always amazing if they have it.

It

Yeah, as a former Southerner, Texas Roadhouse isn’t really all that, well, Texan. It’s more vaguely southern-light, like Cracker Barrel, only less old-timey.

That said it’s best place in NY where I can get a properly cooked steak for cheap, so I’m 1000% down with them getting my business. Definitely the best chain

I imagine it varies by location, but the local Texas Roadhouse here in NY is way better than all those places. It’s most similar to an Outback, only with way better food and the menu being kind of southern/“County” styled (much like Cracker Barrel).

It’s the only place I can think of off hand where I’ve gotten

Yeah, the Texas Roadhouse that opened relatively nearby me (in NY) is fantastic. Far better than any of the Applebees, Chilis, or Outbacks around.

Those all could be descriptors, but they’re not nearly as on-the-nose as Wrecking Ball. Well, okay, Doomfist is pretty close. Soldier 76 would be too if Soldier himself weren’t so generic.

For example, Reaper might bring to mind some edgy fellow in dark clothes, but it certainly doesn’t conjure images of said dude

I mean, I already call Winston “DK.” And my callout for Bastion is usually just “Oh fuck!”

The issue is less that it’s the character’s alias and more that it’s a bad name.

As you illustrate, it’s a descriptor, not a name. Which isn’t Overwatch’s style. Junkrat isn’t called Bomb Man, and nothing about the name ‘Roadhog’ explains anything about that character’s mechanics.

That... that was their point... ?

“Ham, “Hammond, or even something silly like “Ham Ham” are all much easier callouts than “Wrecking Ball.” And most of the more, erm, ‘invested’ fans already know that Hammond is the hamster’s name.

So you’ll get those players calling him out as something like “Ham,” and all the

There’s actually a few artificial sweeteners that can/will have this effect. But you need to consume a lot of it, and generally those sweeteners are more powerful than sugar, so you should be using proportionally less.

So as long as you’re not gorging yourself on sweets you should be fine. Of course, if you’re not

It depends on what you’re looking for. BotW and pretty much all TES titles have an incredible amount of world building. The difference being that world building isn’t spoon-fed to you. It’s out there in the, you know, world.

And I love games with strong narratives (as long as they’re games and not just cutscenes with

Okay, nevermind, now I’m sure you’re either trolling or full of shit (both?). A hell of a lot of games are delayed, not just big budget headliners from storied companies. Usually the ones that don’t are either reluctant to give a date until the 11th hour (spoilers: those games could have been internally delayed

Your insistence on calling the currently playable alpha build a “tech demo” really makes me critical of your claim of not being a Goon, since that was one of the big buzzwords thrown around back when The Undev had his little tantrum over this game. It also makes me very critical that you have any idea what you’re

For a normally released game, that usually isn’t announced until 2 years or less before release, probably. For a game announced at-or-before development started? Maybe not. It’s hard to know, but early estimates are nearly always wrong, and that’s what the practice of backing basically forces a developer to do.

Also,

Roberts isn’t making the game by himself, there are several other developers with great track records that have been and are currently involved in the project. I will say Roberts is a pretty big question mark, though. I loved the Wing Commander games (though Privateer was my favorite), but I never played Starlancer.

Oh I agree, making a deal on this would be terrible. I’m just saying it’s clear that the GOP will use that against the Dems for the midterms. And there’s an unfortunately decent chance that the Dems will fold specifically because of that (thereby possibly actually losing votes among progressives).

We’re far enough down this rabbit hole that I’m not sure they’d impeach even with irrefutable video evidence of Trump literally pledging to commit treason.

The rub here is that taking a hard stance gives the GOP all the ammo it needs for the midterm elections. The party line will be that Democrats “put their political agenda before the wellbeing of children.” Yes, flying in the face of the fact that such an accusation is exactly what the GOP is doing. But that’s the low

So, EVE fan, Goon, or both?

Star Citizen is certainly taking its sweet time, but I wouldn’t call it dead yet. I’ve watched some streams of the current build and it looks fun, even with just what they have so far. Could it all crash and burn? Sure. Could it also end up a great game? Sure.

The only thing more crazy than

Right? This pretty clearly two companies [somewhat lazily] taking inspiration from the same place. Gamers tend to be so insanely tribal that they’ll fight over every little thing they can.

Which drives me crazy, because I love video games, but I’ve never been into this heavy ‘us vs them’ mindset.
