I had a ‘92 king cab. Excellent truck, but lived in VT and ME it’s whole life. At 220K the 5 speed trans slowly died, and it was too rusty to bother replacing. The engine still ran like new.

Thanks for the recommendation. This is great stuff.

I tow a boat 50+ times a year and have no kids. 1st gen Tundra is the perfect vehicle for me.

‘86 Isuzu Trooper II on any freeway. The strategy was to know where every incline was before you got there so you could redline it in 4th, end up bogging in 3rd near the top. Any wind and the vibrations and sheet metal flapping was horrendous. Great little vehicle, though, before it rusted to nothing.

Anecdotal, but I had an ‘88 GTI with factory recaros and the winter tires were mounted on the original teardrops. The interior on this one looks identical, so it’s either not a GLI that had stuff swapped, or it’s just a stock GLI. This one also would’ve had the 1.8 16v...I believe the 2.0 came in ‘90.

“Hopefully the bolts aren’t too rusty.”
