I watched that movie purely because of that review. Him calling it a “brain-dead stab-a-thon” stood out for me.

That’s funny you got the horror game experience without knowing what you were in for. That gives me an idea: make a survival horror game modeled after Audition. You start with a light dating sim, but it transitions without warning into horror, with the woman you’re dating suddenly trying to torture and murder you. You…
Sega turned into a hardcore porn game company so gradually I didn’t even notice.
“Mancation...” No. Stop adding “man” to words for no reason.
Looking back, his famous penchant for killing off characters in devastating ways seems to have mostly been targeted at women. I can’t think of any well-liked male characters being killed off in Buffy, Angel, or Dollhouse. Serenity had a couple, but that was at the story’s end. Men get fucked up on occasion (losing an…
That’s actually only going to be in the $20 million Leto Cut.
The Archer/Bob’s Burgers one reminds me of a similar sort-of crossover of Futurama and Adventure Time. Jake, who’s played by John DiMaggio (the voice of Bender on Futurama), goes to a world filled with people who happen to sound exactly like Billy West’s characters on Futurama. I was hoping it’d be mentioned in the…
That’s always a super important distinction, especially when they’re attempting to extrapolate from statistical results to policy recommendations. I don’t know what they were thinking when they did that. Well, probably they were thinking “this will help us get published in a Nature journal”.
Reminds me of Bioshock Infinite, where you are suddenly thrust into a future where your companion has been captured. Then you’re forced to listen to audio of her being tortured while a horde of men in masks chase you with clubs. The game wasn’t exactly a walk in the park before that point, but that scene was a hard…
This is basically meaningless. Seems like they just looked for the most frequently selected individual attributes and made a character with those attributes. The most frequently selected features didn’t result in a demon or something? That’s not a surprising result. There’s plenty of interesting issues to talk about…
Seriously, if you want to see some intolerant nonsense you can just go to a Trump rally. I don’t think SBC could come up with anything more ridiculous than QAnon.
It’s possible to login using a G/O “burner account” that’s just associated with an email (unless they’ve disabled that for new accounts since when I signed up, but I haven’t noticed any changes). I’m connected that way right now.
It was nice to have him hang out with Hands for a bit, because unlike basically every other character she can handle him (at least so far). I hope she’s a recurring character, because that dynamic could be a welcome break from Archer just hurting everyone around him over and over.
“First, Stalin died in 1953. Unless Archer’s reset the timeline back quite a few decades, “Hans” in question is most definitely more than she appears.”
Looks like a fun way to pass the time while we wait for American democracy to finish its slow death. I wonder how long it’ll be before President Trump orders the arrest of comedians making “not nice” depictions of him.
Maybe it was the same person who invented taint sunning.
Ari Aster makes some great but difficult movies. I recall he mentioned in an interview that making Hereditary was therapeutic. You can tell he’s been through some shit because he’s so good at depicting trauma.
Damn, sciteach beat me to the punch.
