Passengers on my June flight from SFO to JFK were treated to a showing of John Carter. I looked up and down the plane and could not find anyone who was both looking at the screen and listening to the soundtrack in headphones. Some had brought something specifically interesting to them and were looking at that.

QT challenged himself with something more restrained and empathetic when he made Jackie Brown. The public did not particularly reward him. That's the one *I* like to watch repeatedly.

That rope is a formal request, not an actual barrier. It's nice to see it honored; one can cultivate a little faith in people.
