The problem is that the people using these things pay little to no attention to the rules/regulations on operating. Here in Raleigh these have just hit a month ago. A local news group did a story on these and noted:

I think I would take the Mustang II over the glorious Pontiac Lemans redux. I think being re-born as a crappy Daewoo and becoming a shadow of it’s former self is much more of a horror than the Mustang II ever was. You could at least still get a performance variant of it.
