Yah if you look back at the show she's listed as a producer of the show as well as a star ... (how much actual producing she did may be up to debate, but I bet she learned a lot watching Joss produce for her) ...

I don't like this gesture based system and I hope it never becomes the default way to operate a computer ... I like my mouse and keyboard for that ... heck I don't even like trackpads ... I always plug a real mouse into laptops I use too.

The Fox TV deal was between Eliza Dushku and Fox ... not Joss Whedon and Fox ... Eliza asked Joss to be part of it to bring whatever idea he had for a show to HER deal with Fox ...

Eliza Dushku had a TV deal with Fox ... she asked Whedon to make a show for her that would fill that deal ... so ... your plea not to cast her isn't applicable.
