Put that on the media. SpaceX did what any aerospace firm does with a major failure - draw up the fault tree and move through every possible path to the observed failure. Could a sniper do this was on that fault tree. What’s that odd movement on the nearest rooftop we don’t have control over is another item on the

Not to trot out a tired old phrase, but look to the traditional military industrial complex. Lockheed, Boeing, ULA etc as well as their congressional buddies who give them massive cost+ contracts for both launch services and construction of vehicles NASA integrates inhouse. It’s a big, high dollar old boy’s club that

Oy, false equivalencies everywhere. Elon saying I’d like to do this, or I’m hoping to release by this date, or it would be great if we could offer this feature isn’t even in the same ballpark as news stories written by fictional characters that make patently false claims about historical events — Not plans that might

Chill. It was (mostly) a joke. Definitely some truth to it too, being cured meat.

I don’t think bacon ever goes bad. I know they put dates on the packages but that’s just a liability thing right? It lasts forever uncooked. It lasts forever cooked (assuming it gets lost and no one eats it for awhile).

Did you troubleshoot the performance? Check all the splitters and cabling between the cable’s arrival on the side of your house / apartment, check levels in the modem status page, contact Comcast?

It is a cable modem, not a router. It only needs / should have one ethernet port. That port connects to a separate router.

You realize they come in a wide range of sizes and masses that start at the chintzy plastic stuff you describe and only goes up, and up, and up... A motivated consumer can buy or build a drone capable of lifting 5 lbs of DSLR and gimbals - that’s going to have 6 or 8 motors that are solid baseball sized hunks of

If you attribute their actions to destabilizing America and casting American democracy in a poor light, the active Trump campaign would be the next logical step. Push us into an embarrassment of a president because the others looked so bad, expose that guy as truly terrible too.. Geez, those Americans can’t do

You realize appearance, build quality, personal taste are all things people buy for right?

An external scan can only see what’s externally addressable. For most networks that’s only the public services. Now one of those public services may suffer a security hole that lets it be compromised, allowing the intruders access to the rest of the internal network.. But that’s the “get into their network first” bit

The difference between being able to rinse out most messes, light wiping as needed.. Or having to take a spatula or chain mail scrubber to get out the stubborn messes. Before I burnished the pan smooth just about every meal took scrubbing to clean, after burnishing it smooth I really only need to scrub when I’m

that when you anaylze are from some age-old situation (like having water/humidity from cabins affecting the pan when storing).

I got a similar result on my Lodge 10" skillet by using the flat edge of a steel spatula for cleanings. Pan was perfectly usable, just stickier than it should have been because of the texture. It was a pretty beefy spatula, I could really easily put a lot of force behind it. Scrape it clean under water with the front

See it’s funny.. Most of the more generous stores give you some bag fries. At Five Guys the bag fries are the real order - the cup is the little subdivided portion you can pull out to offer that cheapskate friend at lunch so you look generous. Secretly you’ve got the bulk of them still.

Man, I’d love to know where they are so I know never to get ripped off in their local Five Guys. 98 fries? Only a couple handfuls on top of the cup? Shit, every one I visit in Maryland might as well throw an extra cup or two into the bag. If I order the seasoned fries it’s almost like they double it again. That and my

If you dig it, there’s also the Unifi Security Gateway - a router that uses the same controller interface as the AP. I’ve been considering switching - I hear they’re nearing feature parity with the more advanced EdgeRouter line, plus they just hired on a guy from pfSense to work on the Unifi line.

Just to reiterate the other two replies.. I didn’t mean to give the impression you had to have it always on. I prefer it for stats, but it’s only required for reconfiguring the AP or if you use the guest portal feature. I think there’s even an android app for set and forget configuration.

I haven’t had that problem at all. I previously had some difficulties with my Asus N66U and some devices - my FireTV couldn’t manage an HD stream one room over for instance, an old laptop would get confused if I tried to enable dual band support. With the Ubiquiti setup, no problems. I got an EdgeRouter-X and

Yes. There are wizards for pretty standard home setups like 1 port for internet, remaining ports set to local network. And GUI options for features home users may want like port forwards or reserved IPs. And a crapton of more advanced features available via a command line. But the GUI will cover most home users just
