"That same summer, Russell also returned to the role of Snake Plissken, his all-time greatest character,"

"Speaking of Die Hard rip-offs: One of the all-time greats is the Jean-Claude Van Damme vehicle Sudden Death,
in which rogue Secret Service agents hold the vice president hostage at
game seven of the Stanley Cup Finals. This is a movie where Van Damme,
as an arena security chief, kills a bad guy disguised as a mascot

I grew up with the Colecovision and most of the box art was just a shot of the arcade cabinet with a "plays just like the arcade game" message. The Atari 2600 box art was awesome. Most of my friends were envious of the Colecovision because the arcade ports looked so much better than what the 2600 version looked like.

Raiders of the Lost Ark and Adventure had an ending I guess. Other than those two, Haunted House, maybe? Can't really remember. I don't think it just continued at a higher difficulty like most games did.

He's too old for this SNIKT!

Hooters is fine for what it is. They're the only place I'm aware of locally that serves breaded buffalo wings. About once a month I crave breaded buffalo wings, so Hooter it is then.

Which in France was called "La Vitesse." Or it should have been, but in fact, it was called "Speed."

I know. They're open on Sundays.

Wow. I saw a John from Cincinnati reference. Stopped reading because that's all I needed. I'm destined to love this show.

Hikes Point/J-Town area. Officially I live in the City of Cambridge, but no one's heard of that. I typically listen to WAKY when the kids from WNAS switch to their sports broadcasts.

I agree about the first couple of seasons. If I'm remembering correctly, I think season 3 was where every freakin' episode started to have some very special episode feel good morality tale. Ed Asner as the veteran announcer dealing with alzheimers. Kirby finding out he has diabetes. Etc. Etc.

"The original song written as the theme—“You Don’t Bring Me Flowers”—was recorded instead by its co-writer, Neil Diamond. Diamond’s former high school classmate Barbra Streisand covered it, and a Louisville DJ spliced the two versions together into a duet."
