I actually prefer "Let It Beā¦Naked" to the Phil Spector version. Stuff like "I Dig A Pony" and "Two of Us" just sounds "cooler" to my ears in this stripped down presentation. As for the the ballads, "The Long & Winding Road" and "Let it Be" pack a more emotional punch with the orchestration removed.
I didn't think that Joe had watched the last film. Juliana was talking about that first film that he claimed to not have watched, but did indeed watch in the abandoned movie theater in the Neutral Zone.
My wife and I both thought that perhaps the reason why Smith is being so easy on Joe is because Joe is Smith's illegitimate son. A bit cliched to be sure, but it would help explain things a bit.
