They’ve proven themselves to be pretty competent motorsports engines as well. In the S2000 world, it’s become more and more common to see people J-swapping their cars for track use.

An area that I’ve not seen addressed in vehicles is monitoring the amperage during starts. In electrical motors amperage is what drives the motor torque and if the vehicles were monitoring that they could see if there was a drop-off in delivered amperage indicating a decline in the ability of the battery to perform.

I thought start/stop was for emissions – not MPG. Maybe both?

What you’re asking for is an electric motorcycle. There are some very good electric motorcycles available right now and I expect many more once the big 4 Japanese manufacturers jump in the market

They are only legally allowed to go up to 28mph in the US (and restricted to 20mph in some places) and 20mph in Europe.

I have one of these, and while it does have a lot of the latest safety tech, it’s not obtrusive in any way. For example, the lane keep assist is more of a gentle tug on the steering wheel, rather than ping-ponging back and forth between lane markers. It won’t center you in the lane. 

So much this. A lot of more recent cars are pitching technology as a value or even luxury proposition, and forgetting about things like making a car that is just nice to drive, and nice to be in. Most of that tech they’re spending money on is stuff most people will never use, use rarely, and often not cotribute…

No dice. It can still be saved, but $2,500 is too much for something that needs so much work. Chunks will fall off of the body when you lift it from the frame. You have to go in assuming the the power train and running gear are toast. You’ll pay out the ass for the hard top if you want one, whether you find a survivor…

I think people don’t realize what new cars cost and require, and also most original Integras weren’t Type Rs.

I feel like most of the complaints about the Integra are that it’s a modern car on sale in 2022. And also that it’s not the Integra Type R.

Here to also shill the Ridgeline. Great 2-row SUV that happens to have a truck bed and can do nearly everything a “truck” can do with better ergonomics, better on-road manners, and better mileage.

It drives 10x nicer than a Tacoma, for sure
