I think the secret to the Maverick’s success also lies in the fact it looks like a truck. Many buyers go for pickup trucks as much for image as utility.

Don’t even 2WD trucks now sit as high as 4x4 ones do?
The Soul/Forte would be decent comparisons because they both basically start at 20k... (which means theyre likely optioned north of 23k.... and id guess that would be similar for the mav).
I mean, of course it did. People have been clamoring for a small, cheap truck for ages. This is a small, (possibly) cheap truck. It also offers genuine advantages over full or mid-size trucks. Mid sizers are still a bit large and cumbersome when it comes time to navigate a parking garage. They don’t deliver enough of…
The price is fine for what you get. By all accounts Honda is perfectly happy with how many they sell. They don’t want to move downmarket, hence no 4 cylinder, no stripper version, etc.
I did a 72-month loan with Honda, at 0.9%. I could have easily done a 36-month loan, but I elected instead to put the balance into my 401k.
While that 84-month term may make that payment on an Si look appealing, it’s not a good idea in the long run. For one, the vehicle will lose value faster than you can repay the loan, and the long term means a person will be paying more interest, especially if a buyer doesn’t have a Tier 1 (scores of 700 or above)…
Volvo sells replacement wiper blade inserts as well. Less wasted material and money.
Agree on the blade inserts. Cheap, they install them, and refuse a tip.
this is the correct take - see Porsche. No one wants any longer a stripped down model, they want a loaded cheaper one, so you just have to have older ones to choose from - but it has to sound special because people feel like used = junk and that hasn’t been true for a long while.
Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve never seen a warranty on a 10 year old car with 300K miles offered at a used car dealership.
PLEASE TELL AWESOM-O MORE SECRETS!
Okay, umm, how about this: Adam Sandler is in love with a girl, but umm it turns out she’s a golden retriever or something.
It was weird they had a standard Charger Sport for 1976 only which was a renamed 1975 only Coronet Coupe and twin to the Plymouth Fury. For 1977 the standard Charger Sport and Coronet sedan were restyled and renamed Monaco while the Cordoba based Charger SE/Daytona carried on. 1978 added the Magnum above the Charger.
My first car was a hand-me-down gold 1978 Charger SE. It had velour seats rather than the rich Corinthian leather of the Cordoba. It was my high school car. The fun part was that it was very temperamental in the mornings (like it’s owner). No matter how long I warmed it up, it would always die halfway to school.…
Curious how many bird poops these get hit by before an owner can apply PPF and Ceramic
I had a ‘79 LeBaron and, well, yeah, super comfortable road tripper (and you don’t need a ton of horsepower to cruise well above the double nickel) but can attest that the bloom was off the rose on long-term durability as well as performance by then.
I love it, but that price deserves a bigger smack down than Chris Rock. No dice.
it’s a nice little 80's Asian pickup. But what it isn’t is a Toyota and only a Toyota cultist is going to spend north of 8K for a small 80's pickup. It’s ambitious but crazy. Crazy Pipe.
