Accelerating that fast, you probably want all of the downforce you can find, even if it is meaningless during the first second.

The writing is unclear, but I assumed the 2016 record was not necessarily an EV.  I'm too lazy to look it up.

Will the hybrid actually be available, unlike the RAV4 Hybrid?

For me, it was the ability to easily modify the cars of the 60s and early 70s to make them better than what came from the factory. Especially the pre-’73 cars, you could easily swap in a true dual exhaust system, swap out the 2bbl carb for a nice 4bbl setup, easily improve the air intake as well as the ignition

While somewhat forgettable, the clean design is refreshing. Give it the ubiquitous black, white or 50 shaded of gray paint colors and you easily disappear into the (m)aasses. OTOH, give it a playful colorful color and it will stand out like feces in a punch bowl.

One of the reasons I got a Ridgeline was because it had the biggest bed of all of the short-bed mid-size trucks, so I could have the utility AND be able to park it in my garage. Folks can call it “not a real truck” if they want, but it does some primary truck duties (e.g. - hauling stuff in the bed) better than its

Nissan should have concentrated on just one truck, either the Titan or the Frontier.  Then they could have had a competitive truck, instead of two trucks struggling in a tough market.

Makes sense.  I thought maybe MPG wouldn't take such a hit with premium fuel being used, but if timing is pulled due to heatsoak, that may not he the case.

I want this white (color full) for my roof in the summertime, but I want black (color less) for the winter. Cost needs to be less than energy savings. C’mon, MIT or Purdue or Sherwin-Williams or whoever... give us something practical and useful!

Wow, are they feeling the heat from Chevy already (ahead of the Coloranyon updated powerplant - mebbe Ford is testing this package out for introducing to the Ranger?)?

1st gear: maybe the Chevys are easier to sell now, chip later?

Heck, 20 years ago you could get an unbreakable* Accord for $19k (I know, because I bought and owned one for 18 years).

Does GMC still offer a Suburban, or do they now call it Yukon / Denali? I don’t really keep up with them much since I have little interest.

For modern, I would go with Audi E-Tron.

Possibly Ferrari 365 GTB/4, depending on your interpretation.

Maybe the ‘sclade itself will be rebranded as an apex GMC product?  A capstone Suburban, as it were?

Perhaps electromagnets to suck the plane gently down to the rails. The electromagnets could pull the plane down and then switch to maglev right before contact. Maybe same tech to slow the plane down to taxi speed in a controlled manner?

With all of the emissions tied to tires*, it’s a wonder we don’t have railways at the airports for takeoff and landing. The rails could be an electrical conduit to charge the EV motors and batteries while taxiing and during takeoff and landing.

Will the cool headlight tech make it to the U.S. version anytime soon.

There was a guy in Gary, IN that modified these back in the mid-80s. It was mostly accessories such as fancy wire wheels, aero package and European flush headlights, but one of the options was a Getrag 5-speed manual.
