My '84 Gold Wing had self-cancelling turn signals. I read an article on how they worked, and it was fascinating, much more complicated than one would expect.

Probably due to dealers asking for ridiculous market adjustments on an archaic truck.
Yep, tow in reverse for free-wheeling, or tow with rear wheels on the ground if you need to top up the charge.
How heavy will this thing be? Ya know, in case someone actually wanted to take it offroad, or into the sand dunes?
1st Gear: and yet, the Ridgeline outsold the Ranger last month. That has to be pretty embarrassing for Ford, who prides themselves on macho marketing. 😀 😉
1978 Mercury Zephyr
That's already been happening for the last decade. People are making that subconscious decision without realizing it.
Back in my road warrior days, it was beef jerky (home-made), peanut m&ms, coke, originak power bar (those tough, chewy, tootsie-roll-consistency ones), and the occasional stop for a cheeseburger* and a strawberry/oreo mix Blizzard / Concrete / specialty shake.
I should've voted for the Chrysler Turbine car. Only because it would make absolutely no sense.
Jaguar XKE - e-type for electric!
The ZR2 engine makes more HP and torque than my coworker's F250 V10.
Might make Ford put their 2.7L in the Ranger.
They probably spent $20M on engineering analysis and manufacturing scaleability to save that $200/vehicle, though. That's something they can show to their stockholders (the $200 savings, not the $20M investment). :)
If they made it look a lot more like the old S-10, or heck, even the LUV, I’d be a lot more interested in it. You don’t have to look tough if you are tough. It helps to look tough if you’re wimpy, though...
I'm really curious about that engine. Sounds like it will be Stellantis' primary ICE moving forward, available in various states of tune from mild to wild, with 0, 1 or 2 turbos, depending on application.
I just wanted to know about the Hurricane Six. Is it not available yet?
I’ve gotten as high as 30mpg with my Ridgeline on shorter trips (10 - 20 miles). I get worse on shorter trips. For example, I can take two different routes to work. One is 5 miles with one hill and one stoplight, max speed 55, average speed of 40mph, and MPG averages 23-24mpg. Other route is 12.7 miles, two hills and…
Ridgeline is perfect for that. Beat out the Tacoma TRD and Titan Pro-4x on a road like that (youtube Edmunds Death Valley torture test).
Yup. Most likely it will be less capable, less safe, less luxurious, etc., than the Ridgeline, but many truck buyers make their purchase decisions based on looks more than anything else, at least in the U.S.
