1st Gear: As usual, Honda is a decade ahead of the curve. As mfrs migrate toward selling only highly-profitable upper trims of new vehicles, there will be fewer and fewer entry-level vehicles in the new car market to choose from. The new entry-level vehicle will be a used vehicle, more so than in the past, anyway.

I had a Charger with a 400 in it that I drove for eight years. Very happy with the engine, but I never hotrodded it beyond swapping the 2V carb for a 4V T-quad, adding true dual exhaust and swapping to an MSD ignition.  It was a great engine, sold it with 175k on it and it burned about a quart of oil every 5-6k miles.

Or they could just require winter tires.

Rearning the OP dissing the Honda AWD, he must have been in a CRV. The iVTM-4 found in the Pilot / Passport / Ridgeline is one of the most advanced AWD systems available. How soon will it get the 3.0TT Hurricane Six?

Mazda is one of the last mfrs to bring us vehicles that are actually made in Japan.  As such, they have great build quality and reliability.

Ride like you're invisible.

I knew a guy back in college (mid-80s) who had a 70 Charger with 383-4v. He put a shift kit in the 727B. That thing would shift out of first at 55mph (while chirping the tires) and shift out of 2nd at 90mph.

Here are a couple odd picks, just to keep them alive:

Cars like this become more of an option when there are no other cars on dealer lots.

They couldn't come up with a better name?  Really?

Apples.

I'm still waiting for them to perfect dry ice pellets for use as a blasting media.  Main benefit = no media cleanup.
