I'm running the DCOC mod for Prepar3d (essentially the latest version of MSFS, owned now by lockheed martin) and while it's really awesome, it makes me sooo sick to play in the rift. I've been dying for rift flight sim support and I'm learning the dream is much more comfortable than the reality. I hope it's not so

For this very reason I used to call my PS3 the "wait-station". every single time I turned it on to play a game it would either have to update the game or update the system software. It was a rare occasion to get to turn the waitstation on and actually play a game.

same thing happening on mine. thought it was a fluke. Happened twice so far since updating to the latest software. Now that I see it's an actual issue, I'll hold off on "rest mode" until further notice.

There are so many amazing demos/games/experiences for the Rift and DK2 out there that it's just way to hard to narrow it down to 9. I am lucky to be a part of this early group of folks working on developing some of these experiences, and getting to talk and interact with some of the developers of the demos you

if he was THAT good, the ball would never have dropped in the water to begin with

I certainly won't get mad. :) But if you're right, I might send you an excited virtual high five!

I will have to check that out. if so, that is FANTASTIC!

I hear ya. I'm just as dissapointed. This is the same sort of system that Steam recently set up with game sharing. If want to share a game with a friend, you basically have to lock yourself out of your entire steam library. I don't know what these companies are afraid of. I own the game, why are they resisting so

The guys who wrote and designed the original space quest games are currently working on a new space adventure game with a successful kickstarter. It's called "SpaceVenture" and they are promising it should scratch all of our Space Quest itches. should be getting fairly close to a release. we'll see.

I can't stand this music. and I describe it exactly like you do... some kind of weird spy music. and it totally doesn't fit, and why the heck did they put this in for the battle music? I MUST TURN IT OFF!!

For me, the awesome game box art just gave inspiration to my imagination, which is why I really think my time gaming growing up in the 80's was so awesome. Yeah, the graphics kinda sucked for the most part, but the mind made up for it by creating all these awesome stories, and the box art went a long way in helping

perhaps I don't understand something about this new Mario Kart, but it appears in both instances that the "horn blower" was in first already and just needed to cross the finish. blowing the horn didn't seem to allow them to get into first place... am I not understanding somethign?

yes, exactly, it's the "behavior" that is missing from this game. And that is what the author is saying is so hurtful and wrong. There's nothing stopping her from playing as a gay character, it's the "behaviors" that are not included in this game. And she is implying that it is somehow wrong to not include them. I

uggh, so now it's wrong if a video game DOESN'T include homosexual behavior?

My memory of Ikari Warriors was renting it from the local video store for the NES, managing to lose the cartridge, finding it months later under my mom's bed and walking shamefully out of the video store, employees laughing at my back, as I had to explain to my mom why our late fee was more than the cost of the game

Indiana Jones and the HOLY PITSTAINS BATMAN!!

I like to add neat little ascii pictures to my passwords. it adds a bunch of nifty symbols, yet still something I can remember because in my mind I see an image.

so I wonder what resolution that screen is running at? Can it run Crysis?

I dunno... this doesn't really look like a true retro mode, it looks more like they just applied a blanket filter over the graphics and you end up with an ugly pixelated mess. I would guess a true 'retro' mode would have redrawn sprites with more deliberate placing of pixels to give better separation and a bit more

the animations are definitely prince of persia-esque . That's a good thing, it brings back great memories. I remember thinking the dueling in POP was so cool in that you could block incoming attacks, and counter attack. Some of the sword fights with guards would go on for 10 or 20 seconds with a back and forth of
